I have really enjoyed the beta for Office 2010, and news is out this morning that subscribers to either TechNet or MSDN will have Office 2010 available on Thursday!

“Subscribers to Microsoft's developer and IT professional services are first in line to get Office 2010, which will be released to MSDN and TechNet on Thursday, the company has confirmed. MSDN (Microsoft Developer Network) and TechNet subscribers can download the production versions of Office 2010 starting April 22, five days before volume license customers with Software Assurance will be able to obtain the new application suite.”

Yes! I'll be sure to get my copy! Being a member sure has it's advantages in the long run for sure.
No doubt. A Technet subscription is very nice to have.
A MSDN/TechNet subscription cosis how much and would a home computer user really benefit from having one?
I'll be getting mine...

Definitely looking forward to Thursday
I have it and Outlook's stability has been miserable here.
Yeow! Thanx for the heads-up, I.D.!
I treid the initial beta... I found it to be bloated and slow. Don't flame me its just an opinion. Office 2003 seems to be the last good version
I have never owned Microsoft Office... is it really that much better than the latest Open Office to warrant a purchase?
Its better but not worth the purchase unless you really want a feature it has. It looks nicer and has annoying (my opinon) ribbons but nothing open office has everything you would generally need. If you need more power or features or power latex or ocatave (may not run on windows) could interest you.
Though i think MO now supports the open standards from OO so you could encouge people to upgrade for you.
There are many great features available to you once you register, including:
