We experienced some server issues during the transition to the new site today, and unfortunately we had to revert back to the old site for the time being. Everything is being worked on so hopefully we can get the new site going as soon as possible.

The beta wincustomize has worked fine for me----quick navigation and downloads, never even noticed there was a problem. Maybe just a function of the wireless I'm using?
Object DeskTop components provide great creativity tools and the contributors here inspire creativity. You can't expect a unique website like this to hold your hand and pick up your binky every time you stumble. In general computers and the computing environment is a milieu you have to explore and learn.
Hopefully, feedback about frustrating or difficult aspects will alert and teach. Complaining and criticizing are not the same as being vulgar, obscene and grossly inappropriate and people here can tell the difference. Maybe there is a sense of being negative in those actions, but that is not a sound rationale to abuse power.
One day they will completely legalize pot and this will all go away. We will be to busy feeding the munchies and discussing the finer points of a good lager to argue.

1. it was funny. the page that loaded first was sans any pictures and was just text with links, kind of liked it better than the old and the new (just kidding). hitting refresh brought up the old site with pictures again.
2. of course, now I'm neither a subscriber nor an apprentice as you all have mucked up whatever it is that keeps track of who's on first.
3. seems frogboy is getting a little surly for us ranking on the new site. and while I'm one of those that are saddened by the loss of the old friendly site, I'm sure that we will all get used to the new business model at some point. (what is that point date?)
4. I'm still wondering how us non-top skinners will be represented on the new site, you know top skinner this and top skinner that, which leaves us others not so fortunate regulated to the realms of darkness.
5. it was the site that locked up IE8 not the other way around (happened to me also). if and when WC gets around to set up skinning for ie8 (if that's possible?) the problems will go away. I think this should be a priority as it is causing issues with uploading as well.
