I can't see whaT the bloody hell I'm typing
Oh, OK, that worked.
K, I'm going to try posting this thing again.... slowly......
Hiroshima-Class Shock And Awe Bio-BomberEvery sentient in the developed galaxy has heard the story of Project Fourth Horseman: how a group of highly-placed Conglomerate generals blackmailed the reclusive Tsarthi biologist Jareth Kol Sermet into creating a broad-spectrum mycellial bloom capable of depopulating entire planets; how the project was exposed when Sermet's escape released his "Telonium Spore" into the atmosphere of Gamma Triangulii VI; and how Admiral Shorenburg chose to take her own life rather than watch her work undone with one stroke of the Chairman's stylus. What very few beings outside of the Conglomerate Defense Council know, however, is that Project Fourth Horseman was never actually shut down: the true architects of the dread spore (who were never known to Shorenburg until, perhaps, the last few seconds of her life) merely moved deeper into the CDC's laberynthine intelligence infrastructure, and through credits and coersion assembled the finest starship-design team the galaxy has never seen. Thus was the appropriately bloody genisis of the Hiroshima BioBomber: a high-speed, heavily-armed vessel intended for one purpose only: genocide.
The veil of secrecy surrounding Project Fourth Horseman has prevented any actual use of a BioBomber-- the three vessels currently in existance will only be revealed to the wider galaxy when CDC black-ops determines the existance of humanity itself is threatened. Each ship is crewed by 27 hard-line Consortium Navy officers hand-selected for their loyalty and xenophobic leanings, and connected directly to the Presider's war room in Shruiken Alpha via a dedicated high-bandwidth quantum entanglement linkage. The ships' oversized propulsion modules and dedicated antiplasma/fusion reactor core ensure both nearly unlimited operating range and impressive sustained cruising speed: after years of inactivity, bio-bombers could reach the Arbiter homeworld within a few hours of war being declared. The main bioweaponry module is heavily shielded against attack, ensuring that even if the ship itself were destroyed in orbit the payload would still make it's way into the atmosphere unharmed (in normal operation, the entire weapons ring detaches from its mountings and descends to the surface under gravity). Black-market sensor scrabler arrays ensure that planetary denisens cannot detect their impending doom, while eight omnidirectional gravity cannons eliminate the need for a fighter escort that may have second thoughts about wiping out a planet's worth of innocent civillians. The Hiroshima fleet packs enough supplies for a decade of continuous operation without planetary contact, and currently follows a randomized deep-space flightplan (this flightplan is determined by the fleet commander and never transmitted beyond: not even the project's planetbound co-conspirators know their location at any given time), making discovery almost impossible. It is highly likely that these vessels will be the only human space vehicles to survive a catastrophic military defeat.
Scoutdog, I don't know what problems you encounter over there, but I had/have no issues with viewing all your pics from Reply #22.
BTW great designs, all of you.
Hmm.... I'm still seeing a blank black block covering up everything from the "upper weapons module detail" pic to the bottom of the forum..... all the text, pics, and buttons are still there, jujst invisible.
Are you using Internet Explorer, Scoutdog? I had a problem on a different post, it just wouldn't scroll down past a reply. Firefox allowed me to see the rest. Your situation sounds different, but you never know, downloading Firefox may make it stop.
Note: Just checked out this page in IE, worked fine. I dunno.
Nikolai
i am using enternet explorer and have no problem seeing his very well designed ships.
Firefox over here. Problem appears to be @ my end, so I'll leave it be. Are there any devs left to sticky the thread?..........
I wish they would.
Nice ship Scoutdog!
Not as good as some of the designs I have seen in this thread. Truth is I'm terrible at designing ships. However...
Behold the Yor Command Collective! (I'm terrible at naming things too!)
This was designed using Kryo's Hull Mod. Its a huge hull designed to use the Tulon Weapon Focus module. I focus primarily on defensive modules after that since anything with a fleet boosting module on it always gets prioritized in fleet battles. I do add a few weapons so its not completely defenseless but I don't send this thing out without an escort. I shrink the weapons down and put them inside the spore spheres, which aren't actually spore spheres but jewelry instead, so it looks like the spore spheres are firing the weapons. The entire thing also rotates clockwise.
The design was heavily based off the Borg Diamond. Actually with a few modifications I could probably make it look like one.
Impressive!
(Yawn)
I built so many sweet ships but i done have a good method for uploading them here.
My Death Star Carrier would blow that out of the preverbial water!
I'd say the Novachild is the best one I've seen here. You seem to have remembered the art of architecture in that fluidity must be balanced with minimalism to achieve perfection, though perfection is in and of itself impossible.
Scoutdog, are you using custom pieces you made or is it part of some jewelry mod?
Where the heck can I find some decent Tie Fighter parts, namely the solar paneled wings?
As for uploading, if you mean the pictures use Ctrl + PrtSc to screenshot the game, then upload the pictures to ImageShack. If you mean the ships themselves, I would get an account on www.i-mod-productions.com or on www.galciv2guide.com (GC2Guide has better uploading and no size restriction, but a bit of a spam problem).
CURSE YOU, CODE PIGEONS!!!!!!!!!!
I want to thank MidnightRunner and Zcroc for inspiring me on my ships.
I give you a well balanced High Tech Construction Ship, the ASC-Vo-Ant-H -. It has 4 Stellar Folder Drives that has base speed of 25/week, 5 Ultra Life Supports that has a cap range of 10.3 Pc, 6 Sensors Arrays that has a radius cap range of 15 and 1 Constructor Module for building bases.

DUDE!!!!!! That's a Yor ship if I ever saw one!!!!!
Truly awesome! I am speechless...
OK, I am just starting to understand how to make these pictures and I will upgrade pictures with more data, I think?
This is a Neptune Class Frigate, Missile and the FFM-No-Hornet-Ho - is a fast short range High Tech small gunboat. It has 2 Stellar Folder Drives that has a base speed of 13/week. It is armed with 2 Nightmare Torpedoes that has a base damge of 50 and 2 Aereon Points that has a base defense of 20. Having no Life Support (0.9/Pc) and no Sensors (2 Radius Range) and 1 Integrity Grid that gives extra 8 hit points that is total of 16 hit points. If you ever been stung by a Hornet, you know it will aim for the middle of your fore head. What will you do if you see 20 in a fleet?

Here's mine ...
Akatosh
The Akatosh Class, the pinnacle of Terran achievements in starship design, is a Dreadnought warship designed to reign down hell upon its enemies utilising its fearsome weaponry. It is also the first and currently only Terran warship that was designed with the cooperation of another race, the Altarian Resistance. As a result of many years of engineered research, this Behemoth, nicknamed The Hellion, is a fearsome sight and a dreadful opponent to any potential adversary.
The ship was designed to operate with a crew of over 8000, but can accommodate over 12000 military personnel. To serve aboard such a ship within the United Space Command is an honour and a career goal for many Terran military personnel.
The Akatosh was designed purely with offensive capabilities in mind, disregarding any other role the ship might serve, other than a base of operations within deep space for general fighters on border patrol or to serve as a support role for fleet ops. Utilising its forward weaponry, which consist of several heavy Disrupter banks along with sidelined heavy Torpedo’s, Akatosh can make short work of any capital class ship or starbase for that matter.Because of this, the Akatosh excels in its role as a cap-killer, but also performs exceptionally well in orbital bombardment of hostile planets, conducting sieges against hostile starbases and providing fighter support.
However, like every ship, it has its flaws, but not necessarily design flaws at that. Due to its enormous size, coming just under 2km in length, no known current propulsion system is capable of generating a large enough warp field to initiate warp for such a ship of this size. Such a feat would require huge amounts of directed energy at the rear or centre of the ship, and Akatosh is in-capable of generating or wielding such a power source. Due to this hindsight, in which USC engineers foresaw this little problem, they decided to add massive ionised impulse engines to Akatosh, the largest and by far the most ambitious part of the Akatosh Project.
The impulse engines which is by far the most recognisable feature of the ship, was for the most part, designed with the Altarian engineer’s aid, and is one of only two parts of the ship that the Terrans needed help with. Now, when you consider a Dreadnought class ship utilising modern impulse engines for its main propulsion method, you might be forgiven for letting out a snigger...
However, the impulse drives make a worthy compromise in terms of the sheer amount of power that is allocated to the ships shields and weaponry, making it formidable in combat due to the fact that the impulse drives use a lot less power compared to other methods. Despite the drives being present, the ship still moves at a snail pace, as the impulse drives are just managing to repel the sheer mass of the ship forward, and anyone floating about at the rear of the ship is waiting for a unpleasant surprise as the amount of power created by the impulse drives would repel any ship within 500 metres on its six away, and in some cases could cause a small ship to simply break apart, such is the power of its engines.
So lacking a warp drive, only method for this Dreadnought to reach point A to point D in a respectable timeframe is for an external warp field generator, which can create a fold in space, allowing the ship to pass through. This has been tested and conducted, but creates a problem for the ship should it lose that external generator. As a result, this class of ship never leaves its home port unless it’s conducting fleet ops with an array of ships, nor is it often found without a heavy escort.
Akatosh wasn’t designed for patrols, nor was it designed for deep space travel; it was designed to give the enemy a bloody nose... And when utilised correctly, it does exactly that and more. It is also used in Home Defence and can be usually found providing watch over the most strategic locations, along with its escort. Currently, two of these beasts provide watch over Earth, with one providing support on the other side of the planet at Earth Station.
The Akatosh weaponry along with its fighter capacity is enough to make the enemy think twice about confronting this monster. It can house over 980 heavy fighters, 8 light destroyers and 4 heavy cruisers on its external ramps that are only fitted to the ship when providing docking support for cruisers and can provide refuelling ops for a half strength fleet.
It’s main weaponry are all arranged forwarded, leaving only minimal protection provided by two turret bays on its aft, thus causing the aft of the ship to be the least protected. However due to Akatosh’s role as a capital ship killer, it doesn’t need to manoeuvre much and instead relies on its escort and its own fighter’s to guard its weak points. Anything facing its forefront won’t last long under its main weaponry which was designed to take down starbases as well as super capital ships.
Akatosh’s best feature has to be its sidelined turret system, which is capable of interchanging weapon systems to allow for a variety array of weapons to be used depending on the target, a feature that no other Terran ship utilises, making Akatosh somewhat of a milestone in weapon systems.
Despite its overbearing size and the limits in which this puts the ship in, Akatosh excels beyond USC expectations in its given role, which is to act as a fleet support role, taking down capital ships, starbases, providing orbital support upon hostile planets and providing the ultimate in home defence...
And a possible deterrent to the mysterious Dread Lords...
And now for something a wee bit different (I got tired of big butt-kicking warships/stations):Purchased in exorbinate numbers by the Terran Conglomerate Beureau Of Resource Develoment (TCBRD), KabroDyne Industrial's M-104(b ) asteroid-mining cruiser is a common sight in most any resource-rich system. Although periodic upgrades are made to all of the model's systems whenever more efficient technology becomes available, the base design of the M-104 has changed little in two decades of production. Developed as a means of seeding resource-rich asteroids with semi-autonamous mining bases, the cruiser is unarmed and available on the open market for use by any government or corporation willing to shell out a few hundred thousand credits. Like most modern space vessels, the KD: M-104 is designed in a semi-modular configuration, with areas of the ship reserved for a specific task. The crew is largely concentrated in the fore section, which contains life support systems, the ship's bridge, and a mining ops control room that directs most of the vessel's operations. Although cruisers only require twelve crewmembers to fly and handle most basic tasks, the living quarters are capable of accomidating up to forty, usually laborers, technicians, and the occasional VIP observer. The crew area is also home to two massive geosensor arrays capable of providing laboratory-accurate readouts on prospective sites' minealogical qualities. Cargo bays and equipment storage areas are located aft, followed by a storage rack for up to ten KabroDyne patented self-contained autonamous miner pods. A powerful robotic crane arm can move the entire length of the drone section on inductive rails to aid in drone installation: drones then auto-assemble a mining facility with the aid of supplies from the mother ship. The very aft section of the cruiser contains propulsion and power-generation equipment, as well as a small mineral refinery and a contingent of shuttles and miniature "spider-mite" probes ideal for scouting unnavegable asteroid fields. Dispite repeated lawsuits from KabroDyne, a small number of M-104(b ) cruisers have been outfitted by most species militaries and some of the better-organized pirate groups as mine-layers of an entirely different sort: the extraction pods can easily be sawpped out for EMP units, tachyon screamers, conventional, nuclear, or antimatter explosives, and even singularity mines.
Here's the Enigma Class warship that I just designed, however I was too lazy this time to put in any information about the ship, other than that its a Dreadnought class. It's part of The Imperium race that I'm doing.
here goes some of my ships for the farscape universe mod
