Rush Limbaugh has been hospitalized with chest pains. As usual, left-wingers are out there hoping he dies.

No, AJ; I have to firmly disagree here. You don't find the same kind of unreasoning hatred of liberals by conservatives, as you do in the reverse. You folks just assume us, and it, to be the same way, simply because your views are so deeply entrenched that you can't envision it being any other way. You're so used to being hateful of us that you think we're the same way.
We're not. We're frustrated, amused and bemused by liberals; we do not hate them. And it's always been that way.
I remember stories my grandparents told, of New Deal Democrat friends who wouldn't let a Republican darken their doorstep. They absolutely hated Republicans, and it caused a huge stir in their family when their daughter started dating one.+LOL+
Most democrats are too stupid to realize that hate takes too much energy and is a waste of time. So they do it. On average conservatives are smarter, so they dont hate. They are indifferent.
Which if the democrats were smart, they would realize is the true opposite of love. hate is just the other side of the same coin.
KO should stay with sports exclusively; I could never imagine Red Barber doing Gabrial Heatter. What mainly bothers me about Keith is that he has no show without Fox--he's obsessed by its personalities.
That's entirely your opinion, and so be it. Though I have to say that it smacks of victim mentality (i.e. It's your fault not poor old me). But hell, whatever floats your boat.
No offense, but it sure as hell doesn't look like it. That said, I don't think you're the only one man. I've seen many a liberal be just as frustrated, amused and bemused (not to mention occasionally bruised) by republicans/conservatives. We all have our assholes and asshats; here's hoping that the more rational and reasonable of us stick around.
My knee jerk reaction is to mention the snide comment that popped into my head, but I'll be the better person. Simply put, do you have proof? I remember reading about a study done by, I believe, Lazar Stankov, which shows that socially conservative individuals tend to have a negative correlation with cognitive ability. Naturally, this is all speculation - but honestly, i would trust more a study than your knee jerk reaction Doc, which has shown to be utterly and unforgivingly biased.

He's usually awesome when he does. He & Kilborn were the best, at least for my money.
Yea, the delicious irony.

Actually I'm not new; but yes, I understand what you mean, though not in the same wording.

Well, it is not like they are hard to find.
Just look around at JU. You are a rare breed Steven. A very literate and intelligent lefty.
Yeah, I wouldn't classify Richard as a liberal. Left...most definitely but not to the point of a socialist. His words don't hurt my ears, even in disagreement.
Kumbaya.
It doesn't happen much!
See, now that wasn't so hard!
Nothin' hard about it. I've always respected Richard. I'm glad he's able to resume his seat at the table, even if he has taken a slightly inscrutable, semi-Haiku turn.
I was actually referencing the proximity of your "Kumbiya" to left and liberal. Go figure, my attempt at humor fell flat.
Nite, ~AJ
Ditto. I have called him - since my first interaction with him at JU - a very dangerous liberal. But as Nitro says, perhaps a very dangerous lefty is more appropriate. His danger is in the fact that he uses sound reasoning to come to his views. We disagree more than agree, but he is not a blind faith follower. And a great asset to our discussions.
Holy Cow!
No no Steven, it's holy limbaugh.
Remember, talking to conservatives. The whole father, son, holy ghost - plus the mother? Limbaugh's the father, Beck is the son, Hannity is the ghost, and Cheney is the mother. (\s)
(Btw, before some you folks get your panties in a wad...it's a joke, sarcasm. It is not meant to be taken as a serious opinion, but as humor, nothing more and nothing less. So laugh it up or ignore it, I don't care. )
Later, ~AJ
And Lee Cheney, the virgin Mary?
I too agree as well, I may not agree with steve most of the time but he does try to come off as more than a know-it-all and doesn't always resort to childish behavior. hard-headed and persistant, but then arent we all?
