Ok...starting a new post, but because the other topic on this forum about Objectdock is a derailed disaster.
I have one very simple question.
Is Stardock going to release a new version of ObjectDock that plays nicer with Windows 7?
It 'sort of' works for me in Win7 32-bit.
All I want know is if Stardock is going to upgrade this lovely little piece of software.
If they do, I'll buy the plus version.
If not, I'm going to start looking for a different dock utilty to spend my money on.
incognito, I'm done responding to your nitpicking, use of semantics and weak attempts to justify yourself.....
Goodbye.
This really gets out of hand for some people I think. Sorry Starkers, but he had some valid arguments there regarding the ads for Object Dock. And I had to smile a bit today as newcomers using ObjectDock reported the same bugs today that have been there for a long time and were reported over and over.

(And these are the 2 bugs I am fed up also with as I have to fix these 2 things every damn time I start or restart my machines for felt 100 years now)
So "All is well and and nobody has problems" just isn't the truth... I'd really wish some people would take off their rose colored glasses sometimes. Not all people that critisize the holy cow Stardock want bad things, You know...
Very well. I think that I put forward a solid argument, but you decided to withdraw from the discussion. Enjoy your day
starkers, I think you may have it a little a over t
We pay for Stardock products so we are surely the hand that feeds them... so as to speak.
What's all the Hub Bub and dissing OD? I been playing around with version 1.90 build 536 on Win7 32bit for a couple of days and installed it on the wifes XP system without a hitch on either. Tried Winstep first and Rocket Dock but Winstep was a little too much of a confusion and hassle for the average user and Stardock was too simple and feature lacking. I definately think I'll stick with OD unless something outrageous turns up and if not I'll most likely buy the + version. Right now I have one ? I'm having a little trouble with but it's not really a fault of OD but rather something I'm not sure about. But I'll post a separate thread for that. Also who cares about all those useless gadgets hanging around your desktop wasting resources, OD hasn't slowed my puter down what so ever. That's my two cents for now and your welcome to keep it and put it in your piggy bank.
Without wishing to stir up another flamefest, I think it'd do no harm to reflect on something. In the past 3 or so months, the following programs/packages got STABLE releases: IconPackager 5, DeskScapes 3.0 and 3.1, Logon Studio, Skin Studio, Fences Pro, WindowBlinds 7 and Tweak 7. While it MAY mean that we're getting closer to OD+ being released, it is also indicative of the fact that while other programs got STABLE releases that fully support Windows 7, OD+ hasn't even had a single alpha/beta release with Win 7 support. And let's please not go down the road of "well, as you can see, they worked on other programs, so they couldn't work on OD+", ok?
