Currently percent mana bonus does not stack well, because bonus is added instead of multiplied. For example you have Cape of Plentiful Mana and Plenor Battlecrown, but they will ignore mana produced by each other.
Consider a level 8 TB with ice aura, fire mana buff, Vlemish, Plenor, and Cape.
Base mana = 6.88, ice aura = 9, Vlemish = 15, fire mana buff = 50%, Plenoe = 70%, Cape = 400%
With current calculation: 191.456
With multiplying calculation: 393.72
So I wish percent mana bonus was calculated using multiplications instead of additions.
Isn't that similar to wanting speed % to be multiplication as well?
i agree with gun. cape does absolute shit house as a favor item coz of the way the percentages stack. i dont get cape coz magus rod does its job 2 times better.
Change the numbers, and make % regen based on your current Mana, not your regen. So make PLenor like a 1% mana regeneration, if you have 500 mana you get 5 MPS. If you have 3000 mana, you get 30 mps. But as you spend it, it goes down. Would also teach people to conserve mana.
i rlly like that idea zech.
Zech that idea will not work for one reason.
Im at 0 mana after a fight I won. I now have 0% regen. Your idea would only work if there were a minimum # to fall back on.
I think the game hsould just do the math how it is supposed to be done.
As in: AxBxC=D is the same as (AxB)xC=D That is how it should be calculated.
You do have a minimum.. it's called your base mana regen!
And no, that is not how math is 'supposed' to be done. Both ways are completely valid.
What would be the point of +mana items and abilities?
Also some maps have +15 mps flags, on those maps % mana is excellent. Not every item has to be a good choice in every situation.
Fire form's buff doesn't end immediately when you swap.
yeh it continues for how long its supposed to be up.
Gotcha, thanks.
