I just got a new Toshiba Satellite laptop, with Vista Home Premium 64 bit. Today, while I was working, I hit the F8 key and this screen below popped up. Does anyone know what this is or why it's happening? I need the F8 key in my work platform to bring up a special menu with saved macros, so this weird screen with the gears is just puzzling me and making me frustrated, and worried since I can't really do my job correctly if I can't use the F8 function key. Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.
I believe it's Yahoo gadgets......used to be konfabulator
That's the Yahoo Widgets Heads up Display (HUD). Pressing F8 when running Yahoo Widgets will bring up the HUD. You can change the function key by right clicking the Widgets icon in the tsskbar, selecting preferences, then select the general tab. Finally, reassign the function key.
