For those of you in the Ready to Play BETA this is the place where you should report issues or ask questions. We appreciate your feedback and interest in Ready to Play!
Requirements
Ready to Play requires .NET 3.0 SP2. Please upgrade here before installing Ready to Play. A future update to Impulse will automatically install this update. We are also working to pull back the requirement to .NET 3.0 without SP2 (which is native to Windows Vista). Windows XP users will need to update irregardless of the final direction.

Not much of a problem with Ready to Play, but more of a question, I have a few games i bought way before this Ready to Play thing, and would like to know does it change the way i launch and play my games? And in what ways. thank you.
Ready to Play does not change the way you launch and play your games at all. Ready to Play will however allow you to import those games into the application so you can invite others to play with you!
Ah, well, that sounds great! Where do i download this application from?? I thought it was included on Impulse.
how do yoy become part of the Beta, and how do you use it?
Go here: https://www.stardock.com/products/readytoplay/
Click the download link and sign up for the mailing list. If you are selected for the beta, you will be notified.
Thank you Melchiz. That is exactly right.
We are going to start sending emails today to those selected.

Some users reported not receiving a serial number at the bottom of their email. If this happened to you, you can find your serial in Impulse.
All serial numbers have already been added to user accounts so the serial number can be found in the Impulse Registrations. Click on the Impulse Blue menu, the select Register a product to see a list of your serial numbers.
Guess I didn't make the cut. Nerd rage!
Good luck ironing out the bugs folks.
We are sending out more emails tomorrow. Don't lose hope!
Here's an idea from someone on #stardock (his name is yutt):
Use XMPP as the messaging protocol for Ready to Play, so people can connect to chat with friends from any multiprotocol chat client. I strongly agree with him, because an open chat standard may rapidly increase the rate of adoption of Ready to Play, which would obviously benefit the service.
Shirley commented on this suggestion, but I wanted to post it here for everyone to consider.
Melchiz,
We are investigating this as an option for RTP next phase.
Sign up for the BETA on the Ready to Play download page today! We will be sending out the BETA to a small group at first, but then growing that list once we are sure the program will work as intended on all software and hardward configurations.

If you installed before 9/17/2009, please uninstall and reinstall to update to the latest version. Your version number should be 0.98[b].###. If it is 1.00[b].### please uninstall and reinstall.
Loving the application so far - Although I haven't actually connected with anyone else for a game through it yet.
Potential Bug on my Computer: The 'Tick Boxes' throughout the application do not actually tick and untick. When clicked they briefly display an arrow (while the mouse button is held down) then the arrow disappears - this happens in both click states (i.e. I click it twice in a row and it still displays no arror except when the mouse is held down.)
I'm running Windows XP with Windowblinds (v6) installed - If this is an issue no one else is experiencing I can try putting RtP on the exclusion list to test this out...
Thanks for this, can you please exclude it and see if that helps? What skin are you running?
Would like to start of by saying great work to the developers of this app. I just installed it, and it was easy and painless. No problems yet. I am running Windows 7 RC. I think I will be using RTP a lot to find people to play sins with, as usually there are not many people on ICO.
I just invited you for a game of sins and then you became unavailable. Oh well next time
TranceNova,
Thank you for your kind words! See you in game!
Ok guys, first bug for me so far...been a good program, bug wise.
Upon starting RtP this morning (Aussie) the app stays at the log in screen with an error window having poped up. A close of RtP and restart solved the issue, but i thought it best to mention it.
"Error: The Parameters you have entered are invalid. Please check your data and try again. (Request Data missing DocumentElement)"
I entered my user/pass a few times to no avail...so not sure what parameters it's referring.
BTW...will SmartEx work with RtP? Are you guys even using that anymore?
Anyway...Great tool guys.
Thanks...
Neilo,
Please update and try it again. There was a logging issue that did not turn up in testing. Thanks!
I got the beta email, but it doesn't show up in Impulse and I don't know where to download it from... I looked at the email and didn't see any links to binaries to install... I'm 100% positive that I am missing something blatently obvious and I'll feel like a total tool, but I have my Serial Number, I've registered it in Impulse... now how do I download/install it??????
Thanks,
ThanatosESC
