Just to make sure we are on the same page. The balance changes is what I will be looking at first before buyign diplomacy. The new add-ons come secondary.

Im gonna hazard a guess here.. but Im thinking that when they release diplomacy in beta, they'll have to update ICO... and ICO updates often come with game patches... so.. maybe a patch for vanilla and entrenchment when beta is released for testing? Certainly they must have adjusted things during diplomacy developement, or at least worked out a few more of those desync and miniD bugs, they'll likely put out a patch then to get entrenchment and vanilla up to speed.
I hope im right.

The only patch or expansion I am interested in firsta dn for msot is a BALANCE one.

Perhaps if we connected or assimulated the dev team to the general sins community we could increase the speed at which Diplomacy is developed and ultimately...released.

Getting diplomacy out faster isn't my first prioraty. Fixing the balance is.

I'll ask for it as many times as I have to till I drive the point home. And I'll know I've drivent he point home when I see it happen. Until then I fully intend to reming IC every single chance I get to do it.

From the brief description it appears they are taking some ideas from the Galactic Civilisation game. While I haven't played that, from what I've read it soulds fairly comprehensive.
A couple of ideas did spring to mind when going over it though, and I guess we will see more information in the months leading up to the release. However, a couple of questions:
1. Will the diplomatic functions extend to the neutral colonies hence expanding their function in the game other than as a token obsticle to taking a planet?
2. Will diplomatic alliances allow construction of civic and/or military construction in selective ally's planet nodes?
3. Will we be seeing more subterfuge options?
4. Can we expect greater depth in the existing trade, view and military options?
Being annoying isn't going to help your 'cause', if you can call it that. Golden rule of the forums. The devs are quite good at ignoring the noise, which is exactly what your posts like this are.

Well I'm also wrokign ona solution aswell so I am not just making noise. Also ia m not the only oen working on one 2 otehr guys are as well. Each with a different aproch and each with a focus in different sections. i forcused ont he Carrier/Fighter/Flak issue primaraly. Raging Amish on the stats of the main combat units and a rebalance of the neutrals. MindsEye couvered the details of the logistic cruisers. Combine all 3 togetehr witch I am working on now but it's slow since I need to dig int he files of the mods to make all the changes will give this game a very good balance. Those 3 mods are currently out and Ic can just helpa nd serve them selves. They are more then welcome to copy/paste or modify to better fit their idea of what Sins should be.
