I want logical facts to be collected in this thread. the more the better. There are so many variables to consider in this game that almost any specific strategy is useless at some point.
These facts will seem obvious and simple but it is the only thing we can really be sure about and even these facts will be disputed.
I can not garantee that these statements are accurate but I have done my best. Please keep add stuff that you believe is correct in every situation and is very hard to dissmiss or argue against. Some logical statements can not be false for example, "tomorrow it will rain, or it won't". Argue against that if you can .
I will try to start with.
1. Flaglock are only useful if the flag would have been lost if not locked.
2. teleporting home to the citadel will give you full health just like taking a healthpotion probably would.
3. If team A is better than team B at killing reinforcements then team A would benefit more than B if both teams got more and better reinforcements.
4. As the game progress gold is easier to obtain and it becomes more and more expensive to buy better gear but flaglocks always cost the same and does the same.
5. Sedna benefit less from bloodsoaked wand then another classes do because she already have the healing ability. So for her it makes less of a differance.
6. Armor increase in value when total health is increased.
7. It is cheaper to increase the stats that you are lacking than what you already have alot of but it will be equally powerful. for example if you have a 6000 hp oak you should defenetly get speed instead of another 500 hp.
8. Having a healthpot is helpful even if you never use it. It will let you play more agressively and can be sold if never used. Even if healthpot is not worth using it might be worth having because it is clearly better to use a pot than to die. That assuming you would not have survived without the pot and that you survived with the pot.
9. if killing reiforcements for xp is good for your team it is equally good when the opponent team fails to do just that.
10. having 1 out of the 3 middle flags in the beginning on cataract is not devestating for the war score. keeping one flag only is easy to do even if you are pwned in combat. The hp bonus from the flag is only useful if you engage in combat or take alot of damage. Thus the middle flag is better for the team that tries to avoid combat than for the team that are looking for a combat.
11. the more beating you can take the longer you can deal damage thus increasing the value of damage output.
12. if you have far more flags then the opposing team, and all you do is 3v3 combat all the time, they won't have time to regain the flags thus combat (if it is even) is more valuble for the team that has more flags, assuming you can occupy them enough to not be able to take flags.
13. Locking the middle flag is more worth if you have a slow powerful demigod because then you can stay in a creep lane and own that flag too. If you are a fast character that is less powerful it is more worth locking a lane constantly running in to the middle and grabbing that flag and then run back and get the creeps anyway.
More logical facts
#14. The longer the horn on the unicorn, the longer the total body length of said unicorn.
15. It is the girth that counts.
16. It is "more better" to get an unopposed flag first then farm creeps as opposed to farming creeps for XP and letting the other team keep the flag.
17. Domination is won with speed and flag locks.
18. At the beginning of the game the most important "neutral" flags to get and keep are the +gold, +experience and +health flags (an IM not so HO in that order)
19. In some situations it is better to let the enemy team keep a neutral portal flag for creep farming purposes (as long as they aren't gaining faster in war score)
20. always have a way out
What the hell is a "logical fact?"
logical fact number 21, DONT USE FULL FIRE TB.
It's a fact that is logically consistent with reality, as opposed to a fact which is not logically consistent with reality.
Obviously.
21. Man with d*&k on head, can't see for nuts.
22. Secretary is not permenant until screwed on desk
23. Man who walks sideways into plane is going to Bangkok....
False. Argue. Armor increase in value when total armor increased. Nonlinear progression.. It do not depends how much hp u have. Here is a formula. x=100*{1-[2500/(2500+y)]}. where x - absorbing %, y - total armor
---
Check.
This is how I see it. If you have 6000 hp and no extra armor you should get some because it will increase your durability alot for a cheap price. No armor or no HP will give little effect. They work very well together.
About the formula, if I understand it correctly that means that 2500 armor would give you 50% mitigation. Another 2500 armor would give 66,66 % mitigation. The result would be 17% extra mitigation on the 50% that was left. That would mean that you are increasing you durability from whitedamage with 34% when you increase your armor from 2500 to 5000.
Seems to me this is a decrease in value. That would also explain why the damage become so insane on towers when queen reduce their armor. if y in your formula would be -2000 the would result in 400% damage taken.
24. Bros before hoes.
25. If you can anticipate an enemy stunning/interupting you during a consumable use, use a different one to the consumable you want to use. This will make the enemies blow their cooldowns and place the second consumable on a cooldown, leaving you free to use the correct one without fear of interupt.
26. Moisturiser is for women.
27. Be sure to let your team mates know when you're heading back to base. Using the abreviation 'RTB', standing for Returning To Base, let's your team mates know that you're leaving the field. Be sure not to sent this message to the 'All' chat, however.
28. Don't drink and drive, you might hit a bumb and spill your drink.
29. With an enemy Regulus on the field, anticipate their Snipes. Don't let your Health fall too far if their Regulus isn't pre-occupied, other wise you're walking Gold and XP.
20. Be sure not to ask the Officer to hold your beer while reaching for your licence.
31. DONT ATTACK THAT OOZING UB THATS 6 LEVELS ABOVE YOU!!!
32. Never attack the towers before you are level 8 unless you are regulus with range upgrade
33. Dont buy the Suicide Oak option, just avoid dying
34. Its impossible to catch all 250 Pokemon without a game cable
35. Hoes before bros
^^
fixt that for u
36. Watch out for that unshielded queen, she's probably using that broken ub3r-build.
37. Karma = Pro Points don't enter games with people with more than 10 karma... it's unwinnable.
38. It's better to over communicate your actions than to under sommunicate to your teammates.
39, A properly used hammerslam hurts far more than you'd expect it to.
40. Every once in a while you WILL run into a player that will make you want to SCREAM that their demigod choice is broken... try learning from what they did right and what you may have done wrong instead of whinning...
41. GG doesn't always mean 'Good Game', however it is somewhat proper to acknowledge that you aren't a total sore loser at times.
42. This is a TEAM based strategy game... with that said, premades are NOT the devil.
43. Sednas can heal, you can't. Don't 1v1 a Sedna with monks at the start.
44. Rooks are excellent kiters. They make you run through their towers while their arrows are pelting you.
45. Not sure what item to buy? Health stack!
46. An unsupported rook past the middle flag is free money.
47. Don't get the experience upgrade.
48. Always get Currency.
49. Teleport to defend. They run away? Cancel the teleport!
50. Hammer slam to attack. They run away? Cancel the hammer slam!
51. Holy @#$&, that Erebus is fast.
52. Your opponent's gold mine flag on cataract should be your gold mine flag.
53. When the host team is shuffling or kicking players around, in order to get someone they want on their team, its either forming premade or stacking.
When your enemy is focusing on holding the XP flag, get the XP upgrade to minimise the benefit they're gaining while still requiring them to give up other flags to get that benefit. Of course, if they're clever, focusing on the XP flag goes hand in hand with XP upgrades to ensure you out level your opponents as early as possible.
edit: nm, I'm silly
QFT.
That made me lol
54. If some-one is 3 or more levels higher than you STAY THE *%^& AWAY!
55. You are no retreating. Simply advancing in a different direction
56. If you have no AOE attacks, just stay away from a minion Erebus. You will get hammered by nightwalkers and even if you catch him, he will batswarm away if in trouble.
57. Fake casts are your friends. Learn to love them.
58. You can use teleports to ninja-gank someone.
59. If you are a snipe regulus and you want to shoot a demigod that is in a 1v1 with your ally across the map you have to time it right. Shoot too early and he will just retreat. Shoot too late and you will steal a kill (not cool in my book). Shoot just right and you will give him a hell of a surprise.
60. There is no point in going after a 1v1 against a health stacking ooze ub unless you plan to somehow ninja-gank it.
61. Pushing a lane is better than holding 2 lanes (use flaglocks if you are forced to retreat)
62. Don't trade kills. The risks are simply too high. The reward is too meagre.
63. Don't zoom in too close, you WILL get ganked.
64. It's better to be a pro and act like a noob (to mislead your opponent) than otherwise.
65. Never go against an oak with minions in the middle of a creep wave. He will just cast surge of faith, kill all your creeps, get a health bonus while all his allies get attack and speed bonus. He may also cast penitence.
66. Never ever ever ever... EVER get yetis. You will ruin the game.
67. Bestial wrath is a lot less scary and ravaging than its name suggests.
68. If you suspect an enemy will come for a particular flag, mine spam it, then hide somewhere out of sight. As soon as the enemy approaches them, charge up your snipe. With luck, your bolt will hit him right after he stepped on your mines. At worse, he is left with <15% heath and retreat, at best....insta-kill.
69. When AA-ing someone, have an interrupt selected and target him. As soon as you suspect a spell, cast it.
70. Full fire TB is only good if you have someone tanking.
71. If you feel you MUST rage quit, do it when there is no hope -> your portals are locked and giants are swinging away at your citadel.........or when sedna gets yetis.
72. False myths : first blood wins the match, first to giants = winner.
73. Finger of god is about as usefull as yetis.
74. Currency 2 is only worth it if there are 4 players on the team or more. Currency 3 is only worth it if there are already 40 minutes in game, and no team shows signs of winning.
75. Fish don't stink underwater.
76. The only thing that can break oak's invuln is Chuck Norris.
I'll come up with more once i get to brainstorming.
I stopped here as all three of these are wrong.
1. Flaglocks allow you to go elsewhere and be assured an important flag is KEPT nothing more. I can lock the portal next to your citadel and move away to do the same to the other side or sit and gain NOTHING I can lock it if not under threat and move to a different location while the flag remains 'safe'... this is particularly important if the other side is better than you on a one on one basis, has outleveled you and so on...
2. Nope. Sometimes it just leaves a health pot next to your citadel when regulus snipes, beast spits or TB fireballs just before the port completes and it lands before you get healing from your crystal ..so sorry..you now have a potion that doesn't do anything but benefit the enemy because you bugged out WAY too late.. against foes that are capable of 'reaching out to touch you'
3. Team A only benefits from more. Not better. Better reinforcements make team A's job that much harder. Better Reinforcements help both teams equally with only the team NOT opting to make the little dudes burlier at a loss.
#00: Any topic with 'fact' in the title will contain sigificant amounts of random opinions and speculation.
#-1: This thread could have been named 'probable certainties' and been just as accurate *and* confusing.
I've got so many kills because of this.
77. rank 1 is always the most cost effective
The only way it would have been not confusing would have been to name it
How to be wrong. Make a 'fact' list. Include subjective opinion as 'fact'. Pwn.
78. If a implies b, b does not imply a.
79. If a implies b, not a does not imply not b.
80. If a implies b, not b implies not a.
