So this game has been out for a while, and I have yet to see anyone do well with sedna when they use yeti's. Are they useless? or are the skills simply amazing while yeti's are mediocre? I would love to see someone come up with a good yeti strat, as its more fun when Demigods have multiple strategies to use.

Yetis are useful at distracting and taking down Rook tower farms if no one else on your team is using a minion build. Yeti's high HP makes them good tower-distracters, but Sedna has too many other badass skills. The opportunity cost of using yetis is extremely high, in general.

If you put all your points into Yetis, they upgrade to Abominable Snowmen and eat everything.
Except you can't be sure, because no one on earth has ever maxed out yetis.
Hmm, well what do you guys think could be implemented to actually make them useful? Nothing really comes to mind for me atm except for the generic hit harder, make tougher, etc.
The usual idea I see fronted is to give them Wild Swings Cleaving standard, and change wild Swings into something else.

if sedna wasn't that powerful already without useful minions, i'd say she should be the first DG to get buffed
I have maxed out yetis several times. If done correctly they get quite mean but it is a very costly build. You can not afford citadelupgrades. Also you need a teammate who knows what he is doing. Yetis sucks if the opponents are too fast. They must be slowed and stunned.
I wonder if they're going to make Yeti's more useful in the future...
I'm pretty sure Yeti's will eventually be buffed in some way. The whole point of having so many different skills per demigod is to give each demigod at least a couple of different options on how to play them. Perhaps if some of her other skills passively buffed yeti's in addition to what they currently do.
No they are not. You gonna need them for 1v1 dual battle.
And in late game with plenty of mana, minion-related stacking items and passive abilities, they are not that bad.
But, again general idols are much better than yeties; you need get them first, then get yeties in very last order.
lol. Yetis suck man. To actually take Yetis over another skill is an inferior use of skill points.
I think the real issue isn't that Yeti's "suck", it's that everything else sedna has is better.. The minions themselves are tanky, decent damage, and sedna's abiltiies make them better. but it means losing: Pounce. Heal. Silence. MAgPres. Healing Wind. Inner Grace. Sedna has waaaay too much stuff to keep up on to even think about going minions, IMO, unlike QoT who seems to have much less issue using them, or, Erebus and Oak who pretty much get them free as a matter of course.

Sedna Yeti's actually arent bad if you do it with a full minion build and use it properly. However its pretty stupid to get them because basically every other skill you can put points in is twice as good as Yeti's.
why would you ever use sedna for minion build? It takes 14 skill points to almost max out Yetis, magnificient presence, and morale...
so you have no heal, no wind, no pounce.....awesome.
Erebus is a MUCH better minion master than Sedna...he gets idols, and the idols turn into nightwalkers, and then before they die, he gets Horn Of Battle, and then he Mists forms again to keep them alive....
Sedna just meows and jiggles her snowy boobs....oh...and yetis too....
