I would like to start with - GPG and Stardock, you guys rock. This patch is starting to make the game extremely enjoyable. The balancing is getting there. Most demigod feel very well balanced.
UB spit is where it is supposed to be (I still die from it but not all the time - you still have an option to be able to survive if you play it smart)
Priests experience is excellent - This is coming from a regular TB player which hated decreasing xp on creeps. It is now an option to get priests in the game depending on enemy.
Heart of Life - This was nerfed too much to the point where it will never be used - 12k is too much. Bring down to 9k. This is the point where you can either get this or get citadel upgrades. A toss up game.
A few problems - Favor items are still not working. I get favor and able to buy favor items, however, when I play another game the favor item I purchased gets reset and my favor I spent gets refunded allowing me to buy another favor item of higher value.
Cataract map - I am still able to capture the flag on the top left without getting hit by towers as a TB. Regulus should not be able to hit towers from a distance without getting hit and should not be able to use mines as granades on the towers. The towers go down EXTREMELY fast (one mine drop will take out about 33% of the tower's health - Add to that a regulus being able to hit towers without getting hit and it basically means a dead tower before you can get to it. You have to be baby sitting the towers even with tower regen 1)
which bring me to Regulus.
Regulus mines at this point are unavoidable. Someone who has figured out the trick can kill any demigod in seconds. One mine drop = 65% of life (depending on level and hp items) but it basically almost means certain death. Most people don't like talks of reducing the effectiveness of a skill, but I think this one needs a little refining. I will open up this up to the community here. Please include your thoughts on this.
Good job on the crash fixes. I don't get any crashes anymore and games join quickly.

Yeah, it was overnerfed. Your suggested cost is reasonable.
The only way it's going to take away 33% of a tower's health is if he has maxed out mines. Which isn't possible until you've reached a level where any Demigod can 1v1 a tower. Being able to shoot towers with sniper scope is not a big deal. Don't leave him alone.
Yes they are (casting time + animation and/or anticipation). No they can't (hyperbole). No it shouldn't (unless your opponents are bad).
I'm fine with the mines, because as this guy stated it takes a while to get to the point where they're going to take it down quickly. Also, they cost mana, which is a tradeoff.
The outrange is a little much though. Personally, I think he should have to get 2 points in Scope in order to out-range towers. Being able to solo towers at level 2 is just silly.
No, it's NOT a good patch. It broke more than it fixed and currently i can't play the damn game because of in-game crashes.
And no, stop with the nerfing. Just stop.
HoL costs way too much now. I like that I'm having to change my build and rethink some strats, but the price is so much that I doubt I'll ever buy it again. I think 9k would be a better price, but think 8k would be the sweet spot.
Dead Ghost.. I wouldn't be suggesting a reduction in efficacy of a skill without considering it carefully. I am not saying this because I got killed or I was some sort of retribution. I really do think the mines are a little excessive. The mines do fine damage if left on the ground and I walk over them, but they should not be used when a demigod is attacking you and all of the sudden they drop those mines at your feet. Perhaps there could be a slight mine armament timer where the mines take about 4 seconds to arm. Giving the demigod a chance to get away and have the mines be used as they were intended (mine a flag or a heavily used path/corridor). Level 2 scope should not allow regulus to hit mines without getting hit. Perhaps level 4-6 would do.
I don't have a problem with his mines (grenades). They are ok. When he is lvl max at mines, you already should have enough health. If not, you are doing something wrong. And anyway, this game isn't a 1v1, it's team game, so there should be always a backup for you (heal, shield, interrupt, etc).
The only problem i see now is that the game permits teams made with more than 1 or 2 of the same demigods. For example, in a 2v2 and 3v3 match, a team should always have different demigods. In a 4v4 and 5v5, there should not be more than 2 of the same demigods in one team. This is what must be changed, not nerfing demigods.
If mines were any weaker, regulus wouldn't be able to kill any good player lategame.
But I agree with Dead Ghost that it can be very OP with 2 regulus, that's why nobody ever plays with doubles.
It's an unwritten rule already, no doubles allowed.
Am I missing some patch note where spit got changed, or are you saying its fine at the power level it currently is at?
Agreed I love the patch. Connectivity is excellet, Concede option is excellent. Though am I the only person that periodically crashes at the loading screen when you've got a match?
The easiest counter to Reg is health + HP/s stacking i've found today, but still twin regs fecking hurt.
I agree with reg's mines. No, i dont think they should be nerfed in damage, but maybe .5 - 1.5 seconds should be added to explosion time. As it stands it is barely possible to run away from the mines. They are ment to be a stealth tool, and i know that they should be used offensivly, but the near instant explosion is a bit much. Please give us a tad more time to dodge them. Nit because we cannot dodge, but becuse they are mines, not grenades.
Just learn to anticipate them and keep an eye out for the casting animation. Please get better at the game instead of asking GPG to put a crutch in for you.
Adding another .25 or .5 seconds to the mine's arming time wouldn't nerf them very much as mines, but it would make them a lot less effective against Demigods. I usually see him throwing the mines but still get caught in them sometimes cuz i was too busy casting a spell when he started to throw the mines at me. (As in I started casting a spell, then the evil reggy starts throwing mines at me and they just barely manage to pwn half my hp before I can get away).
Idk if gpg expected people to use them as grenades rather than traps to lure people into...
all items that birng down cast tiime just basically mean spam me i can see it now sedna spaming 1k pounce dmg on the enermy
I saw it mentioned by frogboy(i think...sorry if this isn't true) that they were not ment to be used that way but nothing was said about the strat being inappropriate. I do like it (despite never playing reg). Just mines are not usually hucked at people. They take a bit of ime to set up. .25 more would be wonderful and a mild MILD nerf.
Why change it if it's not broken? 1/4 of a second is not a mild nerf, it's fidgeting for the sake of fidgeting. It would change things a lot more than you think.
it's not a mild nerf at all. I said "it wouldn't nerf them much as mines". It wouldn't really nerf them much against creeps, but this would be a HUGE nerf to their ability to be used as grenades vs Demigods (who run the moment they see mines comign their way)
It would nerf his ability to demolish heros by a tiny bit. But as it stands i just do not think the ability makes sense? It is not fidgeting for the point of fidgeting. His mines are stupidly powerful if thrown into a fray or while a demigod is casting/form changing. A tiny delay may make that massive amount of damage make a bit more sense.

I dissagree completely, I think it's perfect how it is now. 12k makes it exactly what it should always have been, an end game item. Since the patch I've used this as much as any other artifact.
