Now, I did a good deal of searching using the searching function and didnt really find anything useful pertaining to "click and crash" so I'm gunna say this is relatively unique.
Anyway, sometimes if I click too fast to tell my DG to move somewhere or my minions, if I rapidly click someplace, from time to time it will crash. Now the obvious solution, "dont do that, idiot" unfortunatley, sometimes in the heat of the game or urgency of a situation I do it subconciously and bam. Crashed game. My team thinks I have raged and I have no ruined the match.
Any insight into another solution to this problem would be awesome.
Thanks, Melfie.
I have exactly the same problem ... and I think I wont play till it's fixed ... (crashed 2 games on 3 :/)
What mouse and driver do you use?
I had the same thing in world of warcraft. Moving the camera a lot made it crash the game. Maybe it's a hardware driver issue.
It wasn't happening before update so i really doubt it's a mouse driver problem ...
Never know. Don't say something isn't the problem til you've done what you can to prove that it isn't. Right now, all you can say is that Demigod updated and it doesn't work, but have yet to try other sources of fixing.
When I first installed Win7 it was blue screening every few hours or so. Instead of blaming Win7 because Vista didn't crash I uninstalled EVERY driver Nvidia and Creative put on my computer and even ran Driver Cleaner to finish up all traces of every driver I just uninstalled. Reinstalled drivers and no more crashing.
My point is that coincidence is a bitch. Who would have thought that at the same time I installed Win7 that I would have a bad driver install? Same goes for your mouse. Don't just rule it out as not a problem.
The fact is .... I don't have specific mouse driver ....
And maybe I say it isn't the problem, because there are 90% chances that it's an overflow in the game than a bugged mouse driver ....
yea, i doubt theres a correlation between moving wow's camera and someone else crashing in demigod
i may give it a go later to see if it is clicking a ton
This happens to me as well... I've got a bad case of dota-clicking like a spaz, and it seems many crashes happen right after I find myself doing it without thinking.
Same happens to me. I've noticed while using my Nostromo gamepad when I do multiple things at once it crashes right when I do it. I started using my keyboard thinking it might be that pad, but it's crash twice today, and crashed right when I did 3 things at once (minions, move, heal).
Dunno what's causing this. I'm tired of crashes though.
Playing Demigod with a gamepad? Now that's oldskool
If you're still experiencing this issue, please send a crash report in to support@stardock.com.
We'll need to gather some information to help solve your issue. There are log files that refresh every time the game is closed. Immediately after a crash, disconnect, or lack of connection can you please close Demigod and follow this link in Internet Explorer to gather those log files:http://sd.stardock.com/Demigod_report.zipSave the file, run it, and attach the .zip file (located under YOUR USERNAME\My Documents\My Games\Gas Powered Games\Demigod\report) it generates to a e-mail.
This is happening to me as well. I followed your instructions and this was the information garnered. I will also email it in, but wanted it posted here for faster reference as well:
