Okay this is wierd. My galaxyscenariodef file in the gameinfo derectory of 7DS is unreadable. It is in text but it looks like this:

and its all like that, about 40 pages long. I cant edit it because it a nightmare to find anything in there. Why is it like that? It never was until i got 7DS 2.0 and 2.1. Can it be fixed?
it's in BIN format, easier to process I guess. I wrote the GSDef in txt, Danman converted to BIN. You might need a txt to bin converter (found somewhere i reckon).
but... mmm... what are you wanting to tweak? Just curious because I packed so much into it its massive and insanely populated.
I wanted to add some planets and remove the green star. And it is in txt, it says so at the top of the file

try opening it in "notepad++", an opensource project that vastly improves the functionality of notepad. I had a text file like that that opened the way yours does in notepad, but then i opened it in notepad++ and it parsed the lines correctly.
Where would I get notepad++?
