It is done...my part, at least. I am posting here to let you all know that you can go ahead and upload at will without fear of my pushing you off the page. I will reduce my uploads to a very slow trickle now...lol.
Again I wish to thank you all for your patience, and I hope there are no hard feelings among us. And again, thank you to Jafo and Spencer for helping me with this trying ordeal. Here's to hoping that the New WC will have tools for avoiding this kind of thing in the future. And I hereby vow: I will NEVER try to change my nick again!!!!
Hello guys. I have just recieved a couple of complaints for flooding the galleries. I thought I would write this post to apologize for the trouble.
As most of you know, I have had site problems for over a year now. There have been a lot of headaches for me, and for WC over this issue. As you also may know, I recently got a couple of real good fellers at WC to help me with this. One major drawback. I have to repopulate my site, one skin at a time.
Needless to say, those of you who upload much realize, with the current state of the website, this is a formidable task. I am having to remake screenshots, reupload every skin one by one, half the time getting errors, and starting over. I too realize that this causes some problems for other skinners getting thier stuff seen. I apologize for this. I have been instructed to do it this way by WC Staff. They told me that either way, it wasn't gonna be pretty.
I do not mean to be selfish or anything. As fellow skinners I ask this of you:
I have been patient for over a year, please be patient with me for just another day or two?
If I don't take care of this now, while I have willing help, I will be in limbo for another year. Yall don't want that do you?
So I ask, please be patient with me for a couple more days and this will be over.

Jim...y'all're doing all of us a service...yeah, some folks are gonna be inconvenienced for a day or two...but what can you do?
It's either this piddlin' inconvenience or miss out on all the work you've done here...that ain't a choice in my eyes! If folks can't afford a great Community member and DX maniac supreme ( ) some latitude...they oughta examine their own motives.
You were a victim in this nickname debacle...folks oughta realize that and cut ya some slack...after all, when you're done, their stuff'll push yours back, no?

Jim has a LOT of works that need to be restored/reuploaded to his revised account. There's no 'easy' way to do this.....whether it's done over a very long time bit by bit...or as quickly as possible all at once there will be the effect of 'flooding'.
In this particular instance it is both necessary and approved, so as he says....please bear with it for a little while....

When you have mysteriously attained the status of Journeyman, all of your work goes into the main galleries, even if it was personal page only before. I still feel this is an unfair advantage and I want to have my whine!

When my ratings drop below 2/12 stars, those items will leave the gallery. All journeyman skins start at 3, just as all master skins start at 5. Part of the earned promotion.
What Jafo said. Normally, we want to discourage flooding of galleries, but this is a special case and we permitting it as we want his gallery to return as soon as possible.
If you do have an issue, feel free to contact Jafo or myself.
I would rather have you upload all your stuff as fast as possible. That way, you push as few items as possible off the front page. I have no problem waiting to upload the blind I have finished. I've worked on it for quite a while....what's another day or two?

He did not mysteriously make the rank. I promoted him early because he was due for a promotion, it just happened to be a convenient time.
We have his previous history and download counts, so any revisions will be made at a later time.
His situation was a rare one, and we just trying to get it settled.

I agree,since the DX gallery is relatively low traffic as far as new uploads,the main person that is getting pushed off the front page at this time is Jim himself. Judging by the downloads he is already getting there were a lot of people,(possibly new to DX) who didn't have some of his older work. He isn't adding anything new to the gallery at this time,just putting back what he wants to appear on his new site.
I don't think he is getting any special treatment.I beleive this courtesy would be extended to any skinner in the same situation.
There are some new themes in the works but they are on hold for now. I would also like to see all of his old DX themes be made RI as there are a lot of resolutions in use today. This has been a lot of work already though so this will have to wait until his site rebuild is completed.
As his friend and tester I would like to thank everyone for their patience in this matter.(And am I glad I didn't have to retest everything!)

Are you saying that if or when you get promoted to Journeyman you would prefer to have all your work moderated? Your lack of respect for a fellow artist is rather unbecoming,imho.
If it was your site that had this problem wouldn't you want to fix it by whatever means were available?

No. You are mistaken. If this would have happened in the WB section, my husband would have just waited to upload his stuff. We are a community of friends on here. Redneck dudes work is worth the minor inconvenience.

You could just understand that he's doing it with the permission (and blessing) of the moderators. For cryin' out loud! He's apologizing for the inconvenience--and he doesn't even have to! Lighten up dude.

He was on the list to be promoted this month, they just announced his early for all the inconvenience he's gone through for the last year.
I think I sense a certain green monster lurking...
All I'm saying to this is that this did NOT happen with the nick change. This has been a problem for over a year. The nick change didn't help, but it goes back further that that. I am glad that Murex is not mad at me. I hope the rest of you aren't either.
