Before I updated to Entrenchment the game used to run decently fast even with 4 hard comp players and myself in a huge multi random map (5 stars, 132 planets). Now since I installed Entrenchment v1.02 it gets extremely slow and in battle its almost a crawl with full fleet in one battle. This has never happened before entrenchment. Also, memory usage is about 1.5 gb just for entrenchment. I don't remember what it was before entrenchment. I have a pentium 4 3ghz, 3gb ram, nvidia 7600 gs, sound blaster x-fi xtremegamer. I have graphics settings all on medium, before entrenchment i had everything on highest settings. In my latest test I played huge multi random map with 1 computer player on easy and myself and the same problem everything was extremely slow at end game and battles almost a crawl with full fleet. This to me seems like so major resource problems with entrenchment since before entrenchment didn't have any problems and thats with all settings on highest compared to medium with entrenchment. I have not played any big games with 4 or more hard comp players. This maybe have something to due with the minidumps people are having, that i have not seen yet.

I contacted Ironclad on this issue and here is their response in "":
""At comparable detail settings, Entrenchment v1.02 does not use significantly more memory compared to versions of Sins before v1.16; that is, 1.5GB of memory use is the expected amount to be used. I am sorry to say that it is unrealistic to expect that Entrenchment's performance would be comparable to Sins as the new content in the expansion inevitably requires increased computation. If you find the performance to be unsatisfactory, I would recommend playing on smaller maps, with fewer players, on lower detail settings, or some combination of the above.""
This is pretty much a blow off for a pretty bad issue of major slow downs. I don't care about the memory usage since I have over 1gb ram free still. I do care about the extreme slow downs at end game. This expansion is very small and at $10 half the price of other expansions for other games but with less than 1/4 the content updated for most games. Also most game companies with a huge title like sins would work to correct issues. Especially performance issues.
