The expanse of the northern pole region lay out before the obsidian palace of the Chaplain-Court. Jannat al'-Adn, as it is known, is nothing like the eden spread across the surface of New Ravion. It's surface, riddled with the signs of volcanic activity, appears flash-frozen as if stopped at the moment of activity. Icy arcs exist in the place of magma surges; dense gases from geysers are ceased in mid air. This cold environment of dying, made in the image of the Emperor, will kill anyone attempting to travel through it's frozen mazes.
Firaeon rested against the barricades in the wake of an open roof. He stared inquisitively at the surrounding lands, before turning to Cere, the Judge Magister of Earth;
Cere said to Firaeon: "This new world, this Messiana, what is it like? Are there cities and forests of pardon, as we are told, or is it shifted to a darker period. Am I welcome there, or will I appear as but an illusion and fall with time. Do they follow our faith, or is their judgement yet to come, brother."
So Firaeon thought about this, and said: "It is surely shifted to chaos, as their gates never opened for many. You will be praised and worshiped there as it's legacy commands. Their Korbanot burns their skin, they will never know their Third Temple, as they say they will. It is lost forever and they will never know it again. If we stay faithless, we will fall and it will exterminate us, and we must yet descend into the Divine Comedy for Heofon."
WARNING: This may not make much sense, but there are loads of references to religion here (It's not finished either).
The Undying.
Timewights. I can see this spelling mistake recurring for some time.
I'll have to consult the EBF.
*Shake* *Shake*
'YES'
Well, there you go. I didn't realise the RP had fans outside of the box.
'My sons' is meant to mean 'my servants' in the polite sort of way.
Wale and Kaen aren't Illuminati, they're descendants of Saiv military aristrocrats - the LikerGuard recruited them because they possessed similar and superior capabilities and powers.
BTW, most Illuminati are no longer close to the gods. The majority lead casual lives, using their talents domestically, or become superheroes/supervillians.
I do that to add character to the language. To keep the secrets between me and Noobsauce, I won't tell you what the language is, but I will tell you that it's not Icelandic and that it translates as 'our swords will not fail you', spoken to the Timewights observing them.
Anyone Rping the Yaargathi?
Or would I be better off creating a sub-faction?
It's all about ships now. You're strongly advised to take a ship rather than a faction.
A sub-faction would be a good idea in fact...
Dont see why you cant join in. Just need to create a ship/character from any of the listed factions on the map and jump in.
Morpheus: "Approaching orbit of Gratsta."
Atlantis: "Launching fighter bays 1 and 2."
*Thousands of strike craft begin pouring out of the holds of the Atlantis and swarm the Styrka blockade ships in orbit*
Mephisto: "The rest of you follow me in."
Fleet: "Yes Sire!"
*Slowly the Cybrate forces push the main Styrka Forces out of the gravity well of Gratsta. the removal of major hostile space forces from the main jump in point from V'tar facilitates acess for the massive Drone ships, each of which can contain a maximum of 50,000 combat drones. These are the main ground troops, controlled from orbit by their mother ship. As slowly as the clearing of the gravity well occured, the elimination of threats planetside in preparation for occupation by a cybrate overlord occurs even slower. the system can be cleared in 2-4 days of all hostile sentient lifeforms, and a security force is left in orbit.*
Morpheus: "Reports sent. Command informs me that several of our ships observing the Illuminati craft near V'Tar picked up a transmission emanating from beyond the combatants. Upon arrival at the coordinates of the transmission one of the ships went silent. By the time the Andromeda reached the location all that was left was a bloody hull and an unknown warp signature pointing in the general direction of the Yarrg Corporation territories. I have been asked to task the two of you with maintaining security around our new assets as well as Nova Toya."
Mephisto: "If Command so wishes we shall do it gladly. May I ask though what have they assigned you to do?"
Morpheus: "I am to make my way towards the Yarrg Corp. and monitor communications for anything pertaining to V'taren tech or operations in V'taren space."

Yes, the Gatekeepers did. On the Styrka front, the dual advances of the V'taren Cybrate and the Yaarg Corp. have halted the Styrka advance and pushed their forces back. However, the Idamon Coreguard has now surrendered to the clan. With control over Evertha and Makazeos, they are now nearly twice as industrially powerful as any other nation. The galaxy is set for darker days...
I demand a Germany/Russia style pact between the Gatekeepers and the Clan.
...
in other words, I want them to leave me the hell alone and fight each other.
lol
@doom: the Justice took the whole ship, not just part of it. its stealth systems can also block transmissions coming from inside the ship and those heading through it. and a Darksaber II isn't small, it can easily fit any cruiser, frigate, or even small capitol ships in a hangar bay.
oh, and it's Yaarg, with two "a"s instead of two "r"s
A NAP would slow down the storyline. It's meant to be picking up pace now. Don't worry about the Yaarg, something will turn up...
ooh, I get a super battleship!
Nah, too clichéd. It's going to be genius, once I think of it.
BTW, remembering what Samurye asked of me, I want to invite you to formally join the Flaming Ninjas. I guess it never occured to anyone to ask. Here's your recommended signature:
Orodum.
The Moo smiley in my avatar represents my membership of the AFL - Angry Farmers League. As founder, I'd be happy to let you join.
Um, Orodum already joined. He just dosen't remember his signature. FAIL.
Samurye.
Don't make me cast a Witherbreak on you.
Apparently if I post this link: http://www.cybernations.net, I get 300K for my online nation. Strange.
JSD
Introduced by the Timewights, a Judgemental Security Determination (or JSD for short) is a method of categorising objects, species, powers, forces etc. in the multiverse by respective inevitable threat to the multiverse, it's inhabitants, or reality in general. There are five stages in a JSD, each with increasing levels of severity from Upsilon onwards. It is also a guideline for attitudes towards said stuff.
Just a quick note. This is only a storyline thing, and I won't start tagging people on a regular basis for rule-breaking, because that would be unfair. Any tagging that does occur is purely done to enhance the storyline, and won't limit behaviour. If you think you can take the Timewights, however, please feel free to intentionally break the 'rules'.
Kappa Stage (denomination: Κ)
Kappa Stage stuff (yes, this is a real word - Ed) poses no or negligible threat. It is the beginning Stage for all stuff. Such stuff is usually left to it's own devices, with only periodic checks by an Onitronian. This is by far the most populated rank, as most stuff is either incapable, unitiated or unwilling to raise it's status. Examples of races in this rank include Humans, and the Ildiran
Upsilon Stage (denomination: Υ)
Upsilon Stage stuff poses a threat to it's immediate surroundings, or shows signs of a threat to it's immediate surroundings. Timewights generally act with suspicion towards races of this rank, and are quick to react to a sudden change in actions. Examples of races in the Upsilon Stage include the Illuminati clans and the Reapers. The Upsilon Stage is most commonly reached by showing particularly suspicious behaviour, but can also be reached if:
Theta Stage (denomination: Θ)
Stuff in the Theta Stage is considered a general threat to reality or it's inhabitants. It is the highest rank that stuff can be redeemed from. Timewights are required to approach with caution, and monitering of Theta Stage races is the most intense out of all levels, being both regular and interrogative. Prominent social figures in Theta Stage races are sometimes required to attend the Chronological Justice Court (CJC) in Segen. At this stage, minor actions by the stuff can provoke a violent response. Examples of races in this rank include the Valkyries and the Aradians. The Theta Stage can be reached if:
Xi Stage (denomination: Ξ)
Anything in the Xi Stage is considered a major threat to reality or it's inhabitants, and once stuff reaches this rank, it can never be redeemed. Timewights are encouraged to engage such stuff on sight, but if possible only to the extent of neutralising the threat rather than the stuff itself. Moniters are non-existant at this stage, presumably to avoid being attacked or captured themselves. The Xi Stage population has increased dramatically since the Timewights have become more concerned about secrecy in Earth-2. Examples of races in this rank include the Saiv, the Riftwalkers and the Demons. The Xi Stage can be reached if:
Omega Stage (denominaion: Ω)
The Omega Stage is both the highest possible stage and the least defined. Timewights are automatically in open war with any stuff of this rank, with the intent of utterly and completely destroying said stuff. The only race of this rank are the Zegar, sworn enemies of the Timewights, because they intend to conquer all of reality.
so the Yaarg would be Y, or K? bcuz their Darksabers can destroy planets, but haven't in a long time
mm, yes. that's why I want automated sigs. I have them eveywhere else, so don't remember here.
beware ninja cylons
-Orodum
hm... let's go Guardian! use the Repulse ability thing, except really, really big
?
I trust you've read the stuff about Verl das Logaarburg. What's your opinion? Would you go under that name?
I'm not that much into the aristocracy of anything, tbh. I'd be more of a woodsman/archer, and would only use a sword when I really need to; more of the cold and calculating type of persona, but at the same time an idealist, somehow
also: as for the Yaarg super-something, I think I may have already started ssetting up somethin that could work
*7 years ago...*
*The HBS Gatharra arrives at Evertha. Massive stations fill the gravity well of Evertha, some as old as known history. Many are abandoned, the Clan has yet to find an efficient way of disposing of it. A ring of debris encircle the capital planet: a barren world with shallow oceans. What little geological survey they have show that the small oceans were once nearly 500 feet deeper, the ancient water lines proof of that. They justify the theory that a cataclysm happened a millenia ago. Too bad the Clan won't allow us to further excavate our history, Bartow thought. The Clan had a motto: "Look towards the light of the future!!", a better way of saying "forget the darkness of our past"...
The Clan held true to that, and as a result, wish that none foolhardy enough shall "study our history" without proper authority. Still, aspiring archeologists that were told that they were not going to be archeologists still try to unearth our history, with serious reprecussions.
I know that the Clan is holding back on something, Bartow thought to himself. They know more about our history than anyone outside of our society. Maybe except the Ildamon, but they're just a bunch of savages, or so the clan says. Hopefully I'll get the chance to civily talk to one before I'm told to kill him...
The Gatharra docks with a massive, grey-blue station, marked with the Yellow-Orange flag of the Clan, with the Clan's symbol upon it.*
"Prepare my escorts. I'll be in my quarters"
"Yes, M'lord"
"You know you don't have to say M'lord, Ensign."
"I-I know - M'lord! I mean! No, wait! Uhh, forgive my insolence, sir! I shall leave now!"
"Ha ha ha... it's okay, Ensign. Go back to your post"
"You...won't report me to the Kitan, right...Sir!?
"Why would I? You did not betray me. You aren't relaying our positions to the enemy, are you?"
"N-No, sir. I would never! My loayalty is to you and the Clan, M'lo-Sir!"
"Then I have no reason to alert the secret police. Now, be on your way, Ensign"
"I'm sorry, I-I'm just new to this ship..."
"Well, you won't have to worry about ol' Bartow, he he..."
"Aye-aye, sir!"
Poor frightened puppy. He wouldn't last a day with another Admiral...
*Adm. Bartow and his escorts one of the Exit ports found at certain points of the ship. He steps into a white-illuminated hall, an obelisk in the center with the Styrka Clan Banner and Symbol, as well as the motto in hologram letters circling the grey obelisk. Down the ajacent hallway, and onto a tram, they arrive at the Clan Council Hall, the meeting place of the leaders of the clan. A mysterious bunch of politicians, generals, and CEOs. Eight people of power, and they were having a meeting - involving Bartow. The Rear Admiral steps into the chamber. One of the council members speaks*
"Rear Admiral Vincent Firuhnyon Bartow, member of the Firuhnyon Clan, a rich and expansive family. Son of...ohh...Firuhnyon Anthony Bartow, ex-Grand Admiral of the Clan...Is that correct?"
"Yes, Grand Councilman"
"Ahh...Entered the Navy at 19, been in ever since then. Now commanding the HBS Gatharra, correct?"
"Yes, Indeed..."
"If I may speak, Grand Council?"
"Speak."
"If I may present the report on the revolt on Hokuya... We've managed to stop it, however we had to resort to...purging the planet. 95 percent of the population was wiped out..."
"Hmm...we'll just pass it off as a suicide gesture. The revolutionaries resorted to bombing their own planet."
"Very well...What is this? You were told by...The Grand Admiral to purge them?"
"Uhh...yes, Grand Councilman."
"Interesting. We did not send him there to help out..."
"He was finished with the task you ordered him to do, Grand Council. He must have decided to help me out."
"On what? It does not require help to purge a planet!"
"Councilman...I was ordered by him to purge the planet..."
"I see...so why were you ordered to do so? What would you have done?"
"I was...trying to negotiate with them...trying to reason with them. I...did not want anything to go wrong, to have to purge them. For if word got out that we purged revolutionaries, I was afraid that would spark more foolish people into revolt. We need to propogate them, make them believe that we are good. Another story that a revolt was quelled using antimatter would spark more revolts...I apologize if I spoke out of tone, Grand Council..."
"It is fine, Rear Admiral. It is not a bad idea. If only we had more Admirals like you."
"Grand Councilman?"
"These revolts are becoming more and more firvurent. We need some sort of way of justifying our actions to those who are blind. That is the reason why we called you in, Admiral."
"Your record shows more peaceful resolutions to rebellions than any Admiral in our fleet. Your men see you as a kind man, calling you 'The Gentleman General" and the 'Admirable Admiral'."
"'Boastful Bartow'. Your men like you more than any other Admiral. Your men are the most loyal in the Fleet."
"Thank you, Grand Council"
"We are getting many recomendations for your promotion. But that is only partly why you are here."
"Because you are a symbol for the Clan, Many people will follow you. You instill patriotism, and leniancy towards those in which no other would show mercy to."
"Our enemies are preparing for war, Admiral. So are we. Right now, we are dealing with revolts and resistance among our people. If we have you as a symbol, as our spearhead, People will follow, and agree to fight."
"Our plan is simple, Admiral. We are going to wage war agains our enemies. You will convince our people to fight against the menaces of our great society. This will end the revolts, and in turn, gain us victory over our advirsaries."
"Congratulations, Vincent Firuhnyon Bartow. You have been promoted to Fleet Admiral. You and your ship shall be assigned to 5th fleet, the largest fleet the Clan has to offer. The only naval personel higher than you will be Grand Admiral Tohoku. He will be our entire Naval commander, you'll be his subordinate. Get too know him better. I know you two have a rocky history. Don't let that get in the way of the objective!"
"Yes, Grand Council. I thank you all, and I will not fail you! Arak Kon Tur!"
"Arak Kon Tur, Fleet Admiral. Oh yeah, one more thing, Admiral."
"Yes, Grand Councillor?"
"Your Ship, it's being re-christened the HMS Hijalte. Meeting Ojurned."
"Yes, Grand Council..."

out of curiosity, are the Yaarg Y, or K?
Guardian: SoaSE Advent support ship, has an ability that repels enemy ships
"Himlarna Föredrar Tyrann" or "The Heavens Favor The Tyrant"
The leaders of the Styrka Clan are generally evil and greedy, much like the Russians from the real world EndWar. President-general Okrossbar demands respect from the populace in return for the legendary unification of Evertha all those years ago, and also demands the right of orgy (unrestrained indulgence) of the government. This produces politicians who are corrupt to the heart, holding onto their power and wealth at any expense. The good Admiral caught the Nattvakt at a good moment - 'loyalty' doesn't mean anything to them, they would have willingly turned down the promotion if it meant they got a bigger salary.
Same questions that I asked Orodum. What do you think of Rucie Palonné?
Yes, I just realised. I'm still thinking about this one.
Maybe Shotu Ika would be good for the sword thing. If I were you I'd make a character myself, since there's no suggestions that suit your criteria.
The Yaarg show potential rather than risk, so I would put them at K.
bumping above the spam.
With the blatant invasion of Cybrate space, a task force composed of the Mephisto and several hundred support cruisers have begun to procede towards the Whyte system. They meet little resistance in orbit and begin capture procedures. a secondary force led by the Atlantis conquers the TerraLecan homeworld shortly afterwards.
Meanwhile...
Random Yaarg chatter: "The Justice reports complete success in operation genesis..."
Morpheus: "Damn thats the only thing i've been able to decode for the past 20 weeks. You'd think they'd use the open channels a bit more often. Oh well, not much more to do here but sit and play the ten-thousandth game of freecell and hope some fool leaves open his microphone."
I didn't know the RP was still active.
A new map will appear sometime, but for the meantime I'm occupied with this:
http://roleplayerguild.com/f14/earth-2-inexorable-invasion-ooc-completed-21234/
This RP is a modified storyline of the original Earth-2, set in the year 2395, (this is hidden from them) five years before the arrival of Firaeon on Hyte's moon, Kend, as representative of the Saiv race. Please feel free to subscribe to it, but remember this is advanced, so make sure you know your grammar and can "write 4 paragraphs of at least 5 lines" in a post. The Flaming Ninjas still exist as their usual altruist selves, based in the criminal underground of Luthan Prime, however they have been branded as terrorists by the state.
Well, that's too elite for me. Any chance of bringing a less intelligent version to us forum dwellers?
So elite that, as I percieve, people are just too afraid to subscribe. I would go for the master section in light of the disappointing lack of posts, but there isn't one, so I'm stuck on advanced.
I've posted a less intelligent version, however all the text from the OOC is currently still there: https://forums.sinsofasolarempire.com/355995
BTW, watch this hilarious Indian version of Thriller. Sometimes, it's just not worth trying...
