Actually, we're not just a network. We're more like a social gamers community. Our main game is Army Men RTS, and we actively take part in A LOT of other RTSs... until we stumbled upon SOASE. Til that day, we began focusing our attention mostly to it, and we love playing SOASE.
So we ask of you to download hamachi (http://www.filesavr.com/hamachisetup-1030-en_1), and join the network --SOASE--
the password is soase. Type it exactly as it seems, Hamachi has really case sensitivity.
If you own a network OR know a network where the members are ACTIVE (meaning, not just a network full of people just for the sake of being there), please give a brief description of the network, the network name, and password.
Happy gaming.
Why not just play on ICO?
You can't use a pirated version on ICO???
You guys should play on ICO sometime. It is a lot of fun. Also recommend getting Entrenchment if you haven't already.
I agree. If you're not pirates stealing from these hard-working programmers and game designers, then come try it on Ironclad Online (it's that "Ironclad Online" button underneath the "Multiplayer" button).
Maybe Ironclad Online has these things called synch errors. Not to mention, people with 1.05 can't use ICO. And as to who would have 1.05, well that would be people who want to play 7 Deadly Sins.
I'd love to know how playing over Hamachi or any other 3rd-party service is going to prevent sync errors within the game's code.
If ICO has the sync erros, LAN play would as well... And wasn't 7 Deadly updated????
As far as I am concerned, people who "want" to stay on 1.05 do so because they can't upgrade....
I use hamachi over ico for host complications. Its easer then portforwarding and my university blocks my connection so its far less illigal then tunneling threw there firewalls.
they are about to update but it still at 1.05
I use hamachi over ICO when playing with my friends in entrenchment, alot quicker, simpler and no having to click stuff so random people dont join.
Sadly, they'll probably have to upgrade it again for it to be compatible with 1.15.
yep you are right, it going be v2.0 right now but for sins v1.15, its 7ds v2.5
Unless SD and IC release a patch bringing some Entrenchment features over to vanilla Sins, in which case it will be for that patch. Trust me, 2.5 will be for the latest patch, and armed with the latest features. Its just a lot of work, as 7DS has a crapload of abilities that need to be re-coded, and a lot of texture maps that need to be updated. And 2.5 will be easier on your computer since a guy on our forums found out we can discard all the -nm maps for our models and use an existing channel of another map for normal mapping. He estimates it will save half a gig of memory when everything is loaded.
well i still play ICO and still play on hamachi. Does that make me a pirate then. playing a Modded game on ICO is problematic and hamachi only makes it easier.

I don't know spiral.......is your OS pirated? hehe
I know a lot of gamers who get all in a huff at the implication of their game possibly being pirated, but grow silent really fast when questioned about the legitimacy of their OS.
....just playing the devil's advocate here......
I'm still at a loss as to how playing a modded game over another service is going to work out any better than over ICO. I played a couple hours with friends with my 0 checksum mod on and no problems. If you're using a mod that affects the deterministic factors as IC has explained in some of their posts, how are you not going to desync just because you're using Hamachi?
This is actually a plausible reason. I use hamachi to play with my friends (both legit and illegit) copies for this reason. Universities are notorious pirating areas, but there are several reasons for that.
When I am on campus, my online ping (in nearly any game) doesn't drop below 200 and has been above 500 sometimes. That makes any FPS game unplayable essentially. This wouldn't affect sins (lag wise) but it woujld cause lots of disconnect issues.
Why the F*ck would I get this when I have Iron Clad?
Hamachi is one of the coolest things out there. If you've got a good group of gaming buddies then there should be no end to the usefulness of being able to have a LAN party over the internet.
However, it should not be used as a replacement for a proper online service like ICO or battle.net or the like. If you wanna go online and play with random people or even make friends with someone whose name youi'll never actually know, use the games actual online service.
As for playing, I use hamachi to play with my friends. A lan game is just that much quicker to set up than logging in, and frankly when we try it on ICO there's a noticeable amount of latency that doesn't happen over hamachi.
I was wondering if people who has very fast connection concerns about those who have a truly fucked ISP like streamyx.
you know like me live here Malaysia with the fuckup ISP always slow connection and big latency or ping or somehow when connect to you guys who have the extremely fast connection. and playing online isn't nice when you know your connection will drop sometime after a while somehow.
furthermore games which require or not working if no connection are actually active, I never even wanted to take any eyes on it
Just install the legitimate WinXP student no problem with me I have one and I am using it.
The game can go only as fast as the slowest connection, this is a rule of thumb to remember
What I meant was when days a lot of people using internet, the speed goes damn slow and takes minutes to load some site where connection are busy. It's is just slow anyway.
And I wonder if you ever try the internet over slow with only one ISP which are only care to leech for money rather than providing good connection for every money you spend.
i tried ICO
no one wants to game
You must have gone at a bad time - in peak time there are always people wanting a game. Of course they may choose not to game with people they don't know - if a skilled game is hosted, unknown people are often not allowed into it as they cannot keep up, quit early and ruin it for everyone by making numbers unbalanced...
