The other allies are still trying to bring down an enemy. 2 enemies are bringing you down. Its no hope for you , and your homeworld will die. What can you do? Heres some tips of the top of my head. Everyone pls contribute.
General Theories.
Delay Delay Delay. The more you delay the enemy , the more you can help your allies to give them time to kill the enemy.
Be a nuisance. Think long term , about how you can help when you dont have any Homeworld or income left. What units can cause most annoyance to the enemy.
Dont waste credits against overwhelming odds . Some might think its good to spam as much as you can to fight the enemy.i.e fight to the death . Why? Why spend cash on a single LRM thats about to spawn against 30 enemy LRMs. It will die in 1 second. Its poor investment.
1) Upgrade your Homeworld Infrastructure. Infact upgrade other planets as much as you can too. This is Delay
2) Spam Capships and run them away. Once you lose hw , nothing is better then having nomadic caps to support allies. Capships can bombard. Target undefended asteroids. Use colony caps to colonise just so that the enemy has to bombard them. Also do exp farming. Find where your allies are battling the enemy. Could be a 6 pips vs 6 pip battle. Just park your capship on the edge of the battle ready to escape and farm exp.
3) Spam carriers. Form a carrier army and run them away. They have enough armour to escape away from a sieged gravwell . General frigates will probably die.
4) Make repair bay forests . nothing delays the enemy more then making these.
5) Feed your allies as much as you can. Delay your enemy , but speed up their fight too.
Try to find areas of the game which are under-microed by your allies.
Your greatest strength is your 100% focus on MICRO. You have a greater control over your nomadic caps and carriers then your allies who have to also MACRO their empires.
-Forexample , if your allies are having a scout battle at a neutral asteroid. why not park a nomadic carrier to help your allies gain the neutrals. Allies cant keep an eye out on these areas all the time , but you CAN. Just tell them to send a scout to the neutral ,and you will do the rest of the work to make sure that he gets the neutral.
- If an ally has dominated a grav and is bombarding a high hp planet. Send your cap along to assist. You effectively double the speed that he kills the planet.
- When sending carriers to assist a battle , communicate with your ally. There are two targets for strikecraft - Ships and Strikecraft. Such is the nature of overwhelming micro , your ally will probably use them to fight one target. So use yours to target the other. "you take out the fighters ,ill kill the illums!"
more to come..this is top of my head.
pull together all of your ships, jump deep into enemy teritory, and start ravaging the inner worlds.
Good Stuff P5yy!
Couple notes:
I know you mean "upgrade the Fortification levels" to make the planet slower to siege.
An additional note, if you are at all able, try and get your Volcanic and Ice world colonizing researched before your labs are scrapped or burned down. Then try to escape a colony cap. This research will give you a lot of flexibility to find a safe world somewhere near an ally and recolonize.
As long as a couple of your allies are doing well, you are still in the game! When your worlds are destroyed, don't look at it as defeat, look at it as a funs Sins "mini-game" called Evade the conquerors and find a new home!
(If all your allies are losing, yeah you are kinda screwed.)
I have my own special vasari tactic...
It's basicly based on... Becomming a pirate.
How too become a pirate:
1. Fully research Wreckage Auto-Salvaging. (tricky part when your dying)
2. Escape with a Desolator (at the least Best cap for killing buildings)) and an egg if possible.
3. Sentinels are a great pirate scouting force since they are hardy ships.
Now if the enemy chases your escape it's an advantage too have some fleet around them. Try scrambling your fleet up jumping out of grav wells by different phaselanes. As long as you have one point where your caps will meet again just jump all around too escape.
Now your "fleet" is save. You have two options then or you go too wreck havoc on enemy trade planets or you go too the front where your allies are fighting.
If you wreck enemy trade planets send sentinels out too scout those planets first (if you still have some). You don't want your caps too get stuck on phase inhibs. Then get your caps there and have them kill PJI's first if there are any and then trade ports. This will slow the enemy economy force them too send small fleet there. And will give you a small economy too feed your allies with. (Wreckage Auto-Salvaging gives you resources for destroyed buildings if a cap is in grav well). If you get your egg too lvl 6 the game gets really funny. killing planets and getting additional resources for it? Anyone?
Fighting on the front might be the best way too level your caps a bit too higher firepower before going for trade planets. Also this will give you quite some economy since your in the middle of the action all enemy ships destroyed by you or your allies will give you resources (the tech says it only gives res for buildings and caps but strangly enough I seemed too be getting resources for frigates too... Was it my imagination?). Those resources you feed too your allies again. All you have too do in both situations is keep the caps alive if you notice their getting too heavy a focus fire pull them out. If you make them go too the front don't let them wander too deep into the grav well or too far from phase lanes.
If you doubt this works... I've fed my allies 40k like this before (ask cykur he was one of the enemies)

ps: p5 good post karma for you ^^
You might as well add the Antorak (sp?) Marauder to the mix because its somewhat hilarious to see your capital ships jump right through their phase inhibitors (I think that's how the speed-boosting skill works) : 3
its in-well, sub-light, not phase jumps
Doesn't the ability lower phase jump times as well? Or does it only decrease the distance you need to travel to the edge of the gravity well in order to jump
I thought it made the fleet jump interference immune.
Yes marauder would be cool. It makes PJI's useless as they can jump your fleet through. And they reduce the distance where you can start jumping from. But the fact is when your dying it's already hard enough too get the desolator out and get the techs up. Grtz,[_]-Flipkik
BTW, if you lose all of your planets, and thus your research labs, your ships are going to be weaker without the armor and Hull and weapon upgrades.
I thought if you lost all your planets you lose control of your fleet...is that no longer true?
I assume this is why you have the space egg...
We are talking about helping allies wich means they still have planets. As long as you have planets you stay allive. Space egg is there for nano and drain mainly.
You don't loose your armor upgrades and weapon upgrades you already did as far as I know.Grtz,[_]-Flipkik
Some research topics require that the labs stay alive. Ship upgrades are permanent.
Yeah, I was ticked off by this one game. I usually find a desert planet and then park 8 labs of some type there. Well, wasn't paying attention and it was attacked and all labs were destroyed when I had researched every single tech in that tree, all but the structures and ships became obsolete. All weopen, armor, hull, and shield upgrades were now nullified.
I think that even when labs are destroyed all researched upgrades should be kept.
This thread smells silly.
People who got the brain capacity to follow your instructions, prolly allredy did so before this post.
People who didin't. prolly wont do it despite this post.
Bullshit , I KNOW it when your playing against me, your desperately alt-tabbing out to read my strategy threads
