Mod Features:
This mods main focus is about adding more celestial body types and extending the existing ones. Which means more size and effect variety, new bonuses and abilities. Also some new researches are included but only things that had to do with colonization or avoiding effects from planet/star abilities. Also this mod contains special scenarios some of them taking place in our own solar system.
Current Celestial Body Count: 104
Overiew of Celestial Body Types:
- Desert 4 sizes (Moon, Dwarf, Normal and Huge)- Ice 4 sizes (Moon, Dwarf, Normal and Huge)- Terran 4 sizes (Moon, Dwarf, Normal and Huge)- Volcanic 4 sizes (Moon, Dwarf, Normal and Huge)- No Atmosphere 4 sizes (Moon, Dwarf, Normal and Huge)- GasGiant 2 Sizes (Small, Big) and 2 variants (stable gas and unstable gas) also colonizable via new researches- Homeplanets (Terran, Desert, Ice, Volcanic, PirateBase)- Blackhole (from 7 Sins Mod with new fx)- Deep Space Sector- Nebula- all existing asteriods, stars etc. have now adjusted sizes and gravity wells.- White Pulsar (star with new ability)- Blue Magnetar (star with new ability)- 6 different Companion Stars (for multi systems)- 44 different Celestial Bodies of our Solar System. (14 with a unique texture, thanks to Cybdevil)- special scenario planets, like Consciousness of the UnityAddtional Changes:
- new HUD icons, pictures and Galaxy Forge icons- new player portraits- new Milita and Starting Templates- new planetary bonuses, abilities and researches

Here are some ideas and things that will be included with future releases:- new bonuses and abilities for planets and stars- new planets and stars- New Maps and Updating my maps with events/story (if ever possible)...Known issues:- sometimes the corona effect of the companion stars are shown before you zoomed in or explored the star, The problem exists with all effects that attached to meshes via mesh points. (see the TEC starbase you will see the glow on the top before the body shows up, too)
vanilla Version issues:- only the custom scenarios appear in the map menu, to fix this: Sins treats the mod's Galaxy folder as the Galaxy folder, meaning it ignores the standard one if a mod has one. So the solution is to copy/paste every map you have in the Galaxy folder in your Sins install folder into the mod's Galaxy folder. I finally read that entrenchment 1.03 is coming soon. So i decided to release the next version of CB shortly after this release.
Thank you, and yes I have tryed your Entrenchment version. It is much better than the vanilla and fixes most of the issues. That is why I asked your permission, I think it would be a great addition to my mod.
I merged both Mods last night... so far it plays great, and was really easy for once. TohKlidan, thank you so much for including the GalaxyScenarioDef and String info... it really helped!!!
Oh, I'm not posting this "combination mod" online... it's not mine, I was just experimenting to see if it would work.
JustJim did the mod enabler on my link not work? I thought you resolved the issue but if anyone is having trouble enabling Requiem and Celestial using the mod enabler (linked above) please let me know (you can post without registering on my site for instant feedback and attention!)
Oh sorry, I should have said something. It worked fine, I just had Mods in the wrong order.
I was just seeing if I could actually merge the 2 mods and get it to run without minidumping all over the place. It's just sort of a running experiment. In between recording stuff yesterday I added in all the other Distant Stars planets, and later I'm going to add in all the extra DS planatary bonuses. More than anything I'm just teaching myself everything that needs to be done to build a really big mod.
Like I said, this is just an experiment, I wouldn't post it for download unless I get everyones permission first. And even then I don't have a site to upload it to...
Hey Tohklidan, I'm sure you know this but v0.8b needs an update to run with Entrenchment v1.03. Basically you need to add renderShield that is missing. My recent testing also shows that blackholes, gas giants and no atmasphere planets aren't appearing.

Blackholes and gas giants work fine as I tested them.
The no athmosphere planet (normal size) had a wrong entry in the galaxyscenariodef. I fixed it in the version 0.9
And by the way version 0.9 which is compatible with entrenchment 1.03 is out you will find the link and infos in the first post above.
Is there any way I can get a version of this mod with just the barren worlds?

I had to glean this from the main mod file as I was getting errors when adapting Requiem.
ive been missing out a lot since this mod went entrenchment. did you ever get arround to making red giants and dwarfs yet? i also have more stars like brown dwarfs and orange ones. and pretty much all stars that exist that aren't in any mods yet...i dont think. i havnt got them working in game but i know they should. ive seen the brown dwarf and orange ones in game but the light yellow and the other ones i havnt. i made them off the real Sins stars and the texture update. but some i did myself. the brown dwarf i got off a program known as celestia (its an astronomy program). you could include them in your mod if you want. just make sure you credit the texture update guys(forget who they are), SoaSE and me.

restlessmind you could run the mod through my mod updater 1.18a which is in reply #93, BUT FOLLOW the instructionsor it will minidump due to differences in the manifests from new reference entity files

restless that is WHAT i did most of my testing on and as most of the changes between other versions and 1.18/1.04 are the same as before plus the 1.17/103 to 1.18/1.04 changes it should have little difficulty updating mods from 1.15/1.01 and later

Is there gonna be any way to use this mod with Diplomacy?
restless, the player entitys have an entire new screen in them plus the extra research for diplomacy, so it would take a modder to adapt CB to diplomacy.

more time than i can spare, but you could look at distant stars as they claim to have the celestial boies included.
Perhaps TohKlidan will update it for Diplomacy?
I might update it depending on how much which needs to be changed.
After a fast look, I can see that there is quite something to add, but that they also made it relatively easy to do so. I might update it tomorow or when I get tired of my abilities bullying me.
