Hi, I just preordered Demigod and the beta version requires login using the stardock.net account details. Unfortunately when playing the game it uses the account nickname which is the same as the email address at the moment. I have been trying to find a way to change it but I can't find the option. Can someone please advise. There is post on the Demigod beta forums about this issue but no one there can help so far. Thank you in advance.
When you login to your Stardock account [from WC anyway], it has your nickname there, and the option to change it .
Sorry, what does WC stand for ... for me is still Wing Commander and I somehow don't think that is relevant to this. When I log into Demigod there is no option to change anything. The other Stardock game I have is Sins of the Solar Empire and that has a different logon for online games, not the Stardock account.
LOL Wincustomize hon there's an option to login to your Stardock account.
On the right hand side, [of the main Wincustomize site] you should see 'Setting's, click that, then 'Stardock Account'.
It's possible he's logged in from one of the gaming sites - I believe 'Stardock Support' shows up on more than just WinCustomize
You can do it through Impulse. Just go to 'Community' > 'My Account' > 'Login' and it will give you the option to change username.
Thank you for your help. My username is my forum name ... which is what I would expect my game name to be as well. However it seems there is another nickname tied to my stardock account which is the same as my email, and that I can not find anywhere, or how to change it but Demigod beta likes to use it.
It also seems to only affect some users but not all of them. A new version if beta is supposed to be released soon, maybe that will sort it out.
It seems funny that everyone says you can change it though Impulse ... but I have looked at every Impulse option I can find and can't change it.

I checked out your account and everything looks to be fine.
Our sites allow you to log in with either your nickname or email address; you can use them interchangeably. Let me try to use both with Demigod and see what happens... It looks like Demigod acts the same way, you can log in with either your nickname or your email address and your password and you should be good to go.
