I just updated to the new beta of Demigod and so I do like I have done before and go to a multiplayer Internet game situation and for some reason I can't even get logged into Impulse through Demigod even though I can login fine using the exact same username and password in the Impulse client program. It used to work in my previous version of Demigod, anyone else noticing this issue?

well, judging by the 30 other threads on this very thing, all posting before they look, i'd say yes.
There are 2 primary causes to this:
1. People who have a pirated copy of Windows XP aren't able to use some of the validation functions of the OS that the system relies on. We're looking intow hat to do about that.
2. People who bought Demigod with a different email address than the one that they used to create their Impulse account.

well seeing as how number 2 isnt the problem it seems number 1 is the problem well this sucks
Well I dont know if this completely rules out your theory of pirated copies of XP, but I know someone who is using a fake copy and it works fine with them.
Is there a fix for those with option 2?
Since I'm pretty damn certain I haven't got a pirate copy of windows
I have a fully paid for copy of Windows Vista but I used a different email address to purchase the game so my problem is with number 2. Looks like we might have to wait till Monday to get a fix
There is an option for #2. You'll have to contact support@stardock.com and let them know your two email accounts and they'll merge it.
I've asked the team to create a page where you will be able to do this yourselves for the future.
Even though I can fix #2, I still have issue #1 >.<

Ok, sorry for posting another thread on a problem that was already being spammed about. I could have sworn I checked the threads and there wasn't anything posted that I saw as the same issue but we all make mistakes right? Well, glad to hear it is being looked into, I suffer from the two separate e-mail address issue and that would explain the problem I am having.

For #1, I got my computer from Falcon Northwest and got some updates from Microsoft's website recently so I can rule that out.
For #2, I used a different email for the billing address, but I used my Impulse account email in the 'gift to' section. I have never had a problem with doing so before.
Unknown, as I mentioned to you yesterday I thought, your Demigod purchase isn't associatd with this account. I have to know what the other account is.
I'm happy to help people but I can't merge accounts without knowing both email addresses in question.

Out of curiosity, does this mean that people can't get Demigod on Impulse as a gift for others? I checked the image I took when I pre-ordered, and it definetly has my Impulse email under the 'Gift for' section. I mentioned that in the response I sent you yesterday along with my pre-order number.
Just means that the system for connecting accounts needs to be better.
One of the many reasons to have the beta.
This whole issue that we're running into is a GOOD thing.

I sent in an e-mail to support 3 days ago as soon as I read this thread. I immediately received a response and had a "ticket" created for my problem. Since then I have heard nothing.
Apparently it might take a little bit longer than anticipated to get your e-mail address / accounts merged.
Day 4 ... still no communication ... My water's about run out and I just had to eat the dog ... hopefully I'll get some help soon.
I think the support team forwarded your e-mail to the sales team (they took care about merging my two addresses). I´ve contacted the sales team, and shortly I´ve reveived the "done"
I've been happily running a month old version of Demigod but today I started Impulse to see if there are any updates available. Sure enough, 1,2GB patch later I am no longer able to log into Demigod. Just keeps saying that either the username or password is wrong. Logging into Impulse works just fine though. As far as I know, I'm using the same e-mail address in Impulse as I used back when pre-ordering Demigod - actually I don't use my alternative e-mail for anything but junk. My OS is 64-bit Vista if that's of any help?
edit: checked the e-mail addresses and yep, same address in Impulse and Demigod order.
I looked up your ticket and was only able to find one (which was handled by sales). It appears that Melissa answered you asking for more info on the 21st (less than 24 hours after you sent in the request). You replied the next day, then she sent you a notice on the 23rd that they were merged.
If you are still having issues, please reply to your ticket with any new information.
I was able to play this version when I first downloaded it, but now I can't. I'll admit that #1 applies to me (Oh noes! Dun reports me plz!), but if it worked before, why the error now? =/
