I just finished purchasing Ultimate Object Desktop and was under the impression that I was going to have an awesome looking desktop. It almost appears that I got a shareware version of everything because there's not much in each of the programs that I received. When on the website for instance I see a bootskin of some nice looking pictures, yet every picture I've chosen to be in my bootup doesn't appear, just a washed out version of a Vista backdrop, which I didn't choose to have load. Do I have to try and build all the nice desktops I see on Stardocks Website, or do I have to pay over a hundred dollars added to what I've already spent to get those beautiful desktops that I see? There's some really neat looking icons that someone has taking a long time to create, but those didn't come in my download either. My Colors has really nothing in it as well.

Hi emailsucks,
Support won't be getting to your Ticket until monday, but one thing I noticed is your running Webroot Spysweeper, that can cause an untold amount of issues, from skins not loading, or partially loading, to some apps not responding at all. We recomend that all 'exttra' security apps be shut down as a troubleshooting step. Try running with just a good Antivirus, but even then don't let the AV install any extra functions, like spyware.
Well I've been a busy little beaver. I don't have CursorFX on my system. I purchased Object Desktop Ultimate, but I guess it doesn't come with it. I already had CursorXP from way back when I had XP for a system. I installed the sound program but for some reason it won't work. I think I'll try uninstalling and reinstalling it again. When I download a Deskscape, and it's in my Download folder, how do I move it to the Stardock folder with doing it manually? I got some Icon Packages. Man oh Man... there is some real talent out there. Very, very Impressive. Later I'll download right click and see if I can make the font bigger in it.
Thanks Highlander. I thought about that after the fact, but from now on I'm always trying to remember to shut it down while playing with Stardock. Sorry I would have responded earlier but hadn't noticed that there's a second page started.
Well it's been a frustrating morning today. Since uninstalling Stardock on my PC Computer because I had uninstalled programs earlier and made a mess of the uninstalls, it's started a whole lot of problems. I used the restore feature in Vista to try and back up to where it was working perfectly, installed Stardock again, but could not get the Sound Package to work, although it had worked before the uninstall. Then I couldn't change my Window Blinds from what it was set at. So now in total frustration I've began formatting my hard drive even though it had been working perfectly before all this started. I installed the program onto my laptop that runs Vista 64-bit and the Sound Package works perfect and the Window Blinds. I had the revolving earth as my background and that was working good as well. I removed Webroot Spysweeper since I know it was causing problems if I forgot to shut it down before running Impulse. Now when I boot up the laptop I get a popup that says Explorer couldn't load and needs to be shut down and I can't get the Earth background to come up again even when using Deskscapes. Is Stardock sure that their programs are Vista compatible?
It's in your best interest to slow down. Stardock (a company, not an app . . so you cannot install it. [The installer app is called Impulse]) apps typically work very well together.
I would suggest that you get back to a workign state and then install one app at a time and let it run for a day or two before you install the next. You have so much going on that figuring out which one thing oon your systemis causeing a problem is almost impossible.
Thanks for the suggestions Zubaz. I'm going to try your suggestions and hopefully everything will work out fine. I guess it's a little confusing and exciting when I purchased Ultimate Object Desktop and it's loaded with programs, inwhich all look sooooo good. I'll try and contain myself once I get everything up and running again. I've got Vista installed again and I'm getting the updates and then I'll start with Stardock again... slowly.
Hi Zubaz. It just clicked. You're the guy that made a Window Blind that I just love. My wife thinks it's great as well. It's the green one with the brown in it. It must have taken you a long time to make it. I've tried other Blinds, but I always go back to yours. I also have installed the Blind Editor and was wanting to change where you type the web address in IE. I find with the dark green and the black font, it just too hard to read the address I'm typing in.
The truth is that it was a collaboration between myself and [2of3]. He did all the work. I just stood around and looked good.
He'd be the best person to help you modify it for your own use. Leave a not on the skin itself and he'll see it soon enough.
Hi ZubaZ. I went to the skin and read the comments, but do you think I can find where I can leave a comment? Is it just me or is this Web-site that difficult to navigate in? Can you draw me a map please?

Who told u that?
Zub...watch out, vStyler might open one of these on ya...
nah, I'm a lover , not a fighter... Zu's wife'll tell ya
Hi Zubaz. Yes I'm a subscriber. I copied and pasted your link, but it said bad gateway. I'll just play around in the skin editor and see if I can figure out how to edit his work. He done such a good job and I'd hate to ruin it. I'll be carefull. I just installed my first program again from Stardock and it's working perfectly. It's the sound package. I think I know what happened the first time and I won't make that mistake again. I've got a lot of large programs to reinstall again.
