In 2007 i created 2 fleets after getting inspired by too many ship designers to list them all here) - one for the Terrans and one for the Altarians.
In 2008 i followed the Ship Design Thread again with great interest, but was not able to participate because of r/l.
Now a new year has started. I think it's time to start a new thread where this year you and i all can show the ship designs we created.
It doesn't matter if they were done with Dread Lords, Dark Avatar or even with Twilight of the Arnor. Just show what you think you like to show.

These are some ship designs created by Thielfin dated 03/09.
@midnightrunner - LOVE YOUR SHIPS and the names and descriptions are equally as good!
Another set of ship designs by Thielfin.
And another set of designs borrowing heavily from the Star Trek design philosophy.
Nice ships
The Free World Alliance ship designs by Thielfin.
Thielfin, your ships are amazing, nice use of the nacelles (sp?) on the Star Trek-style ships, and your Nova Conquest looks REALLY badass.
Any chance of your ships appearing in the Library?
Oh, and +1 Karma for the ships.
Uh, when I click on the button to give Thielfin Karma, nothing happens.
Thank you General Homsar.
I am new to the Gal Civ II forum but as soon as I research what the Library is and how to contribute to it, I'll do my best. These ships were created in GCII Dark Avatar with the latest updates installed. If you can run a savegame I can send you a copy. If interested you can email me at thielfin2@hotmail.com .
hey thielfin,
bad ass ships man, how long do you take to design each one on average?
Hello AdmiralMaximus.
Thanks for the encouragement I am constantly tweaking various sets of designs while playing GCII Dark Avatar. Once I get inspired, it takes about an hour to flesh out the initial design. Then it is a matter of recreating the theme variations for the different hull sizes, ship types and classes.
Aquarian Commonwealth ship designs by Thielfin.
Some really nice designs there Thielfin! Maybe you could upload them to the library here or over at the galciv2guide.com site (the latter of the two does not require any moderator to view/accept your file before it becomes available to all).
I tried to upload a set of ships to the Library here and got an error message. I have uploaded the Thielfin Ship Pack 1.0 on the galciv2guide.com site. So if you are interested you can find them there. Please provide me some feedback if you try to download and use the ships in game. I just want to know if the process works the way I think it should.
Thanks
-Thielfin

There has been some talk about being able to build a rescue ship. So I designed one using my new gorn designed dreadnaught. It is big enough to remove most if not all people from a planet.

don't know how to insert images >.> here's my bloodmaster commander.
http://www.majhost.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=2166560
and my bloodwave ragelord(impact driver variant)
The bloodmaster commander, when the Confederation of Augments found itself assaulted by the Purity Protectorate it found its forces powerful in the fight but heavily outnumbered. Therefor the Fleet needed an edge. With its powerful Sentient computers, and well trained tacticians the Bloodmaster commander can turn any situation into a win for the Confederation.
The Bloodwave battle cruiser, first of the confederation's efforts at building a ship entirely devoted to war as opposed to modifying civilian craft for the destruction of an enemie invasion force. The bloodwave is designed to work in concert with a battle fleet, usually made up of 3 bloodwave, each one devoted to one type of weapon along with a support craft. Unlike some race's ships the bloodwave has more of a focus on defense than attack, using teamwork and the sheer power of their unstoppable counter measures to wear opponents down.
The Cargo cube, a multipurpose modular vessel built by the Tommorrow corp, bringing Tommorrow's Salutions to today the Cargo cube has been outfitted with everything from colonization equipment to being pressed into wartime service as a troop carrying ship. The size of a small moon the vessel is, nevertheless delicate and quite often becomes massive memorial of shrapnel and junk when the enemy manages to make it past the "thin red line."
Aeon Class destroyer. This is the modified version of the puma (thanks to no one for no suggestions for the front end)
anyway.
And this ship, an old design that I don't remember ever putting on the boards..if I did then I'm sorry for posting the exact same thing again.
