Me and a close friend just got Sins of a Solar Empire after all the reviews from different gaming sites saying that it was an amazing experiance. I agree that the gameplay is amazing... in single player.
Online play though is riddled with desync's, disconnections, minidump, and errors of all kinds . It also seems like practicaly no one uses it. 152 ppl today got on and everyone was all excited because we finally had more than 150 players on. Seriously?! Red Alert 2 gets 3x that in a day and its like 10 years old.
Sins needs a totaly new online atmosphere and they need tell all their supposedly 500,000 owners that the new online is improved and usuable. Frankly they need to do it now no matter what the cost or I seriously fear that Sins or a Solar Empire will die off very soon leaving us nothing but Homeworld 2 and Masters of the Orion.
PLEASE LEAVE A COMMENT DEMANDING THAT SINS ONLINE BE FIXED WITHIN THE MONTH OF JANUARY
Lets make it our goal to rebirth the online gameplay and give this awsome game a shot at an expansion pack or further games.
As has been said by others, a petition is not necessary. IC has been working on a new build of ICO since 1.12 to sort the periodic issues it has been having of late. They've even gone so far as to dedicate everyone for a whole weekend to fixing one sync bug. They are a very small company and are already doing everything they can to resolve any standing issues.
Hey fleet i just noticed a problem with your Post RA2 has more players RA2 online support was cut 3 years ago there aint been an RA2 server only way to play is through Lan or hamachi i knew something in that post was bugging me ive seen more than 150 players on ICO too maybe your joining at the wrong time.
also RA2 has a series and a fan base to call on Sins doesnt this is a completely new game unlike C&C
certainly hope they fix it.. i got that game (instead of GC2) for the sole reason it was multiplayer so i could play with my buddy..
This is my last reply to this post but again, calling us vile and racist was just uncalled for. I had, from the OP, the reason to believe that you were simply posting this to make people mad and up in arms about the lack of fluid online play through ICO. I, personally, saw nothing constructive about the OP. The [small] dev team is working as hard as they can to fix all these problems that you say will "destroy the game." If you looked into the subject as you should have before you made a PETITION TO FIX SYNC PROBLEMS OR ELSE then you would've known this. This doesn't help the process, either.
Seriously, how many times has someone complained about the online? everyone knows the problems, and almost everyone's sick and tired of people complaining about it. If this is your way of "doing something" sbout it, then find another way. Instead of making people mad, help solve the problem! chances are that you can't, so the best way to help the problem here would be to stop posting these kinds of things. They do nothing constructive whatsoever, and are deconstructive by their very nature given this particular situation. I agree that we have a right to have a fully functional product, but threats to stop playing? its just the wrong way to go. It sends shockwaves through an already small community, and that was the reason for my "vile racist" post.
p. s. if you can honestly say that i'm a vile racist or whatever then you don't know me, ok? nearly everyone i talk to knows im a good person and i work hard to uphold that reputation. don't call me those things on the grounds that i said "stfu." If you judge people on one statement/word, then you should be calling yourself those names and, well, stfu.
I don't think it is directly related, but as of the date of this post ( and my first time trying to get on multiplayer) it keeps saying i am disconnected from Ironclad Online... anyone know what might be going on?
Oh, by the way, while I might be a little out of lingo, I assume Dev means Devoloper (pardon spelling), when it is really the programmers who do the coding. just want to give credit to the right people.
Yeah, you need to download impulse (at impulsedriven.com), install impulse and update SoaSE to the latest version, which is currently v1.12.
...seriously ...what the **** is wrong with you prissy little ****s, as far as I'm concerned, we bought a complete game, you bitches are just too damned pampered to realize that supporting online game play, putting out patches, maintaining impluse, are all support the companies have given you, of their own accord, after they have your money. I could understand if you were paying a monthly subscribtion to ICO demanding the problems be fixed, but your not. And anyway, they've already taken it upon themselves to improve your online gaming experience, there's no need to be a prick about it.
