Why the fuck am i not up there

i should be at least rated 2 if not 1

im still sad about my place

i stayed away from this post for a long time because, well, siddy is a petulant child. but i must say that on nearly all accounts he is correct and his points are mostly well thought out.

if it counts for anything iv always rated the players of this game on a pretty typical scale. using myself as a middle level or average player. i have brought this up with a few others and they agree for teh most part. Think of my add on to siddy’s tiers as a golf handicap… plus or minus depending on what u need to win.

+1    :::if they can beat me in a fair fight, i.e. no busted starts, no bunk asteroids, no bs heavy defended des 1 jump away or busted phase lanes. no feed and a strict 1v1 situation and they can beat me pretty much everytime no question asked. then they are absolutely tier 1 in my book. that being said there are maybe 5 people in the game that can do this and i dont consider myself all that good in comparison to the others u guys consider pro's in this game.

the only people i can put in this category are:

 Tyr (after he learned all of mine and raknor's tricks). He was a 100% advent player before I met him, with a little tec to go with probably from Raging or cykur. After he met me an rak and lost a good chunk of rushes to our vasari team he picked that up too. Now he is purely unstoppable in a fair fight. Has the best eco in the game.. I have never seen anyone get to 140 cred/s so fast in my life, it took him all of 34 minutes I believe.

Raging Amish(when he still played) was the original SMURF devasting skilled players on alternate accounts. Excellent TEC, better advent. I only beat him once but his team failed him so I don’t count it.

Con (when he was at his peak) it would probably take him 4 months to get back to that level, he is military for those that were wondering and I believe he is currently in or jus leaving his M.O.S. school. He will be back soon if he doesn’t get forwardly deployed. I included him in this top tier for nostalgic purposes, and cuz hes military and understand why I drink so much L

 JohnJames (only after he got to about the 220 win collumn he was not very competitive before he hit about 150 wins to be honest) plays tec with the top 4 in the game. Plays vasari with the top 10. Never seen his advent but I assume its good. But more importantly his micro is amazing and he takes some of the fewest ship losses in the game.

There may be 1 or two others. keep in mind these are people that NO ONE can beat consitently in a fair 1v1.

ON par or even with ::::the next level are the people that with a SMALL feed or a SLIGHTLY better start can beat me or anyone else nearly all of the time. this list includes nearly all of the people that siddy and the rest of you consider tier 1 and 2. the list is endless and ill name a few below. this is jus saying that these people are competitive and knowledgeable enough that if they are given a slight advantage they will probably win.

Cykur=awesome vasari and one of the only great tec's around. micro's very well and wrote the book on equal expansion and rushing. also one of tyr's main teachers. The only reason he is not in the above category is because we play very similar games and micro close to the same so I have no idea who would win a true 1v1. But I have no doubt that with a better start or a small feed he would roll me up and smoke my fleet. Expanding the whole time. Cyk NEVER stops building or massing.

Raknor= he would definitely be in my number 1 category save that he can only use vasari. but he IS the best vasari in the game when he is in practice. only 2 teams in over 200 games beat me and raknor in a 2v2. that was Tyr and Gini, and tyr and berzerker. and it was my fault we lost not rak's. Raknor fights for nuetrals as well as tyr or cykur. And he wrote the book on carrier counters in 1.05. only guy I knew back when the game first came out to manually cast subs… eating fleets alive I might add. Raknor is the reason pro’s started using vasari again after that 5 month period of non stop advent craptastic illum/guard/malice/and cleansing brilliance cheapfest.

siddy= most annoying player in SINS, hands down, but he has excellent hit and run tactics and very good counters. So far as I know he wrote the book on advent battle balls, I would have to ask around but im pretty sure it was siddy. Neway excellent player, he was just raised horribly wrong

HowThe?= balanced player in all accounts. he would be in the other category too but his counters lose their edge right around the 2 hour mark of gameplay, dunno why maybe he gets hungry ,  but a very competitive player.

CommanderAdama= when he played he was teh best illum/guard spammer in the game. there are others that use his name but i am talking about the 1.04 adama

Ginifnbadwitch(or however that cuban pyscho spells his name )= He plays with no logic that I have ever been able to see and I have 40 plus games with him probably. His counters are fast and brutal, and he plays sim city with the best of them.

P5yy= never saw him once until right before 1.10. effective player, knows the races. And im confident with a feed he would probably beat me every time.

Dark Azure= I cant say this about many people. But he is hands down better at advent than me. The only reason he would need a small feed to guaranty a win is because he doesn’t micro as much as he should, he doesn’t ever get a true eco going, and he takes losses where he shouldn’t. doesn’t matter tho he is a beast and a valued SINS team mate of mine.

Knewgui= with a heavy feed he has a crazy good tec strat. but without a feed it is not plausible and therefore he gets crushed, insanely easy to rush but an Excellent tm for 5v5's. once he gets his strat with tec going its nearly unstoppable. hes the only one i know that can make a battle ball with tec.

Anfield = iv played with him enough to know his game, and his tec game is very very good. Only bested by Tyr’s, Cykur’s, and JJ’s tec games (and possibly knewgui’s Tec B.B.) not good enough micro to do it without a feed. But I have seen him stall Tyr AND another DT by himself for over 2 hours with me feeding him marginally. A VERY good teammate in a clinch.

Whippersnapper (dirty sanchez is his main alt)= A well rounded player that understands the entire game. Not quite as good at rushing as the very best. Not quite as good at micro as the very best. And not quite as fast with his counters. But he is NOT someone you can ever count on beating. And with a feed you are probably doomed unless fed yourself. Im fairly certain that everyone in SINS has lost ot him at least once, on one or more of his alts.

Berzerker= I taught him half of what he knows, raknor taught him the other half, and he is a very scary beast of a player. He would need a feed or a better start to beat the very best of the game. But I would let him go up against tyr or JohnJames if we could feed him a bit anytime.

Yodarkore= I havent seen him in a long time and he is the only clown in SINS drunker than me half the time. But he makes an excellent eco and back in the day his RA rush was as good as anybodies.  

Spiralblitz= iv never lost to him no matter how lousy my start, but I understand and appreciate his abilities and I agree that he could probably beat almost anyone given a slight advantage.

Reborn= for some reason he is jus never as fast or as micro’d as the best in the game. But he plays exactly the same as the other pro’s, jus a split second slower it seems.\

Seargant Dan= i have a ton of respect for dan's game and he is a great tm. he was never that good because he only played TEC and TEC was garbage until 1.12 unless in the hands of cykur or amish back then. but since the patch if dan came back he would be extremely good. hes a cop in australia now. or is that anfield? i can never remember they talk alike. his brother is a terrible noob tho its almost painful to watch, hope you read this danny boy

John Wales= when i first started the game this guy popped up, got really good really fast, then dissapeared, i suspect he was a 1st account for a current pro or a smurf. but i cannot discredit his game it was very good.

violator666=he made really wierd mistakes that i could never figure out. and to be honest he was incredibly easy to beat before 1.1 for some reason. maybe he played the beta for 1.12 too much and forgot how to play 1.1- or something. but he had 300 wins and i cant look down on that, he can easily take out all but maybe 20 SINS players.

Step_a_nich= he HAS beaten me with a massively better start than me so i know he is Tier 2 calibre for a fact. he is a strictly vas player and a notorious kanrak>carrier spammer. violator666's protige or smurf or something, but with a feed he is very very dangerous. and without he is still very very good.

relentless= easily counterable, even easier to rush, and only surpassed by Siddy in annoying. but with a small step up on someone he can definitely get the upper hand and possibly hold it.

cheesedoodler= i played 4 games with this guy and either they were the best games of his life or he is WAY better than he let on usually. dunno if he still plays i doubt it. but the games i played with him he rushed with the best of us.

Sry for the rest I forgot I am sure there is many more. Ill add later right now im bored from typing all this stuff, but they asked me too so here I am.

-1 this is the batch of players that cannot beat skilled people without help or a very impressive feed. But that is NOT to say these people are not good, jus that their understanding of the game isn’t quite as good as the above players, or that they haven’t developed their micro fully, or that they are strictly 1 race players, or even 1 trick ponies. Look to these players to be the future pro’s of SINS when the rest of us are gone.

Harla- learning, will be one of the best someday I think.

DRUNK- we go way back, but for some reason, he jus plays, well, drunk J

Duke Greg- iv played a couple games with him and he is still noobish in some ways but he learns very fast and is very attentive to the details of the games. Very receptive to constructive criticism.

Flipkick- very good, he may be better than I think but iv always seen him lose so I don’t have much to go on.

Ravok= very good, and matter of fact he is always welcome in the pro games cuz hes an excellent teammate, he jus needs to develop a micro and learn more counters. I like this guy a lot tho and he is a good sport and good to have on a team.

Ken (king ken, king death god, good god I cant even remember all the accounts he uses) he would be pretty elite if he didn’t go all out on style or play for fun. He really doesn’t play to win much and that is his downfall. But he designed the 50 scout rush counter to a lrf spam. The counter the pros used to use was about 20 scouts. His 50 scout rush now that I have been on the receiving end of it by muhq is brutal, but it will NEVER win a game jus stall for ur tm’s to win theirs. He would probably lose any 1v1’s with a truly skilled player tho.

Muhq-a good player that’s been around a long time. His micro is good, but every time iv played with him hes made a bunch of mistakes so I cant rightfully put him in any other category. But this is definitely a good SINS player

Krunk- another up and comer, it seems a lot of people are rising fast because they are being included in very skilled games they would normally be excluded from. Krunk like harla and greg are learning way faster than they would have otherwise.

Starfire/sunshine or whatever he is called=skilled as advent, but a very poor team game player. I think he would fare much better as a 1v1 player than a team player. He builds and masses all the right units. Only downside is he is about 12 and very annoying. But im kinda grumpy and cynical so maybe its jus me.

Camai: as i recall this guy was a great illum spammer, and fun too talk too. french but i wont hold that against him heh

schmedly=he USED to be very good but he hasnt played seriously in over 8 months, been on a few times since then but not for very long

zenoir=takes too long of periods of inactivity to be truly great, but a steady player that knows what he is doing.

Astax=leaves games he cant win and bails on his team, a notorious lrf spammer and now carrier spammer. some people have credited him with some skill but as for myself and the people i know no one has seen him win a skilled game in months. still at threat tho.

coldx= another guy that is probably inactive but he was good enough when he was here to play at the skilled level.

isnogud= i suspect its just a smurf accounts for someone else on this list, but the guy played well from what i could see, also inactive.

eViLZippY= plays a decent game, think he stopped playing a long time ago.

eXploding sh33p=he would be Tier 2 for sure if he logged on more than 1 time a month.

human being= he went through a 5 month phase of sucking, a 3 month phase of being pro, then he went back to sucking lol. dunno where he is now

greyfox= still learning, but he will be very good in the near future i am sure.

There are tons more in this category, too many to fit in one reply, do not think these people in tier 3 arent good, they are, they are just lacking one thing or another that would make them truly great.

-2 I call them scrubs for the most part, these are the people that with NO amount of help, feed, perfect starts, or any kind of beautiful neutral resource spam near them will the beat a skilled player in the tier 1 or 2, and probably 3 in almost all cases. Tier 4 is all but maybe 60 SINS players worldwide from what I can see. If you get kicked from a game with people with 200 wins or 400 games or something, odds are you are in this category and I can assure you whatever team you go on will lose. Tier 4 players should NOT be afraid to ask tier 2 or 3 or even 1 players to play with them or teach them. Jus please do not ask while we are on our main accounts, becuz it will be an instant loss in most cases. I know that’s kinda brutal but SINS is a game that each round can take anywhere from 45 minutes to 7 HOURS!!. Do not expect someone with 300 wins to sit down in a 7 hour game jus to teach you something.


Anyway I wrote this over a 2 day period bored at work time to post it. Hope I didn’t offend to many people and remember this handicap system I am referring too is based on myself, and I don’t think I am that good. If tyr, raknor, cyk, JJ, or con were the models the ranks would be a bit different

well sadly i will have to agree with this im a team player i dont work well on my own but i am by no means a 1 trick ponie or a 1 race player and Im working on getting better at microing and countering but i am still killed by all the tier 1's but hey i put up a fight almost everywhere

i would agree with tyr tho in that at the tier 1 or tier 2 level, it is really unimportant who you have on your team in a 3v3/4v4/5v5/ or a noob stomp 4v? or such. all those i listed above are great allies, the tier 2 and 1 people will never let you down in game. they all can nuetral grab, mass, team feed, rush, etc.

and id like to point out that the list i put up was for 1v1 only, and tier 1 and 2 are not seperated by skill so much as what is probably needed to win. so that people who have nearly the same game as me or people i play with a lot are not likely to be in tier 1 because i know their counters too well. this is specifically true for rak and cykur, even berzerker. otherwise they would definitely be in the top part of the list.i can tell you down to the minute when rak will have carriers or subs up and running heh/

and that list is not even close to the list i would rank people to have as allies. i play better with raknor and cyk than with con or amish. and berzerker and tyr are more reliable eco houses than anyone else. i was just trying to input my handicap i would give people everyone else is more than likely to do the same. i wont even mind if i get put into tier 3 or 4

but i caind of wish u put me in tier 2 but i am ok with were i am i dont really play to win really i just sins to easy me real life of school sports and freinds epesally school i have to go to 3 a week i am the only fresh men in the frist semester with over wuth 80 crdtsi and not to menchen that i love all sports ..... i conseder rts as a sport fro my head being won of my faver it ......then i have my frieds to go with every day so iam a rather busy person i try to find eugh time to atleast play 1 game of sins every day i am not so dathatcateded to sins only if i had the time fro it  i would the only time i show my real colors is when i  playing a game with ppl in tier 1 or 2  ............ oh and i love to play with all the race

oh an about that 1v1 yaeh i can handle 1v1 i brely lose one on equal trems tho the ppl in tier 1 will be a great challege i and hope to win one againt the i cant trun donw a 1v1 the only time i can is when need to go or just afking and or waiting bud that will end there game soon as fro the ppl in tier 2 i no and have confedece in myself that i can beat or give them hell

yah of course i will 1v1 you again siddy, but only on ur siddy account, none of those obnoxious smurfs you use. and yes i have 1v1'd you several times we have both just been on smurf accounts. you left on one, called me a "jewbagfag" or some such when i killed ur work drones right off the bat, and i dont remember the others or how they turned out. im sure i lost a few of them at least.

Man, reading some of those names brings back memories. 

Actually, it's because I haven't played too many MP games beyond the 2 hour point.  I probably need to go against the AI and fully flesh out my late game strats.

or maybe jus make yourself play out games after everyone leaves and try to take on all the other teams bots at once. i used to do that when a team would admit defeat but 3 of them were still real powers and hard to kill even as bots. it forced me to learn to use subs correctly, and what defenses/upgrades were a must. now that RA is no more it may not really matter...
