Hey, did a forum search but couldn't find this info.
Icon X won't install (boo) and Icon Packager associations don't stick for whatever reason. Also Windows FX doesn't want to run either.
Anybody know when 64 bit will get some computer love?
Hey Joe,
IconX isn't supported under Vista (I'm guessing that you're running 64-bit Vista).
WindowFX isn't currently certified for Vista (I think a future update will address this).
Not sure about your IconPackager problem; I think a new version was released as part of OD 2009, and it should be working right on all OS versions.
I've been running Vista Ultimate 64 for about a year, and the version of IconPackager that came out with OD2009 works fine on my system. It's possible that there is some other type of conflict in your system that is preventing it from working correctly, but the problem must not be in IP since it works for me.
Same here, no probs with IP and X64.
Ditto.
Thanks guys. Meant to come back and check (its been a busy Christmas week... full of joy and good cheer lol). I am running 64Bit and its nice to have 6GB of ram (should have gotten 8GB but I guess I can add them later) and junk.
Too bad about IconX not running on Vista. All I really wanted on my new Vista PC was Dreamscapes, Windowblinds, Incon Packager and IconX.
*starts to cry*
I hope I can figure out whats wrong with my computer so I can put IP on... I love changing the icon sets.
Anyway, I guess good old Object Dock will have to do for my obsession with huge expanding icons lol
