I purchased Object Desktop and it supposedly comes with many programs. I have downloaded them and impulse and stardock do not take the registration numbers. or i dont see the regstration numbers with the individual program downloads, ie: icon packager, desktop x. This has so far been very dissapointing....almost want my money back.
maybe if you start enough threads the apps will work for you. how many have you started thus far?
You should have received an email confirming your purchase. You us that information to register Object Desktop in Impulse. Once you do that all the programs that come with version of Object Desktop that you brought should show up in Impulse under the My Desktop tab. You should not have to register each program but if you are asked for a registration number it will be the one for Object Desktop as referenced in the email.
EDIT: I just realized that I answered one of your other replies. You need to email support@stardock.com to resolve you problems.
If you bought ObjectDesktop, you want to find that in the list to register - that one serial will let the apps that come with ObjectDesktop work - you don't need to enter it for each application, just for Object Desktop
all the programs are under My Desktop, but they show that they have to be purchased.
In fact it wont work if u do that.
In the menu, use the clear all serials function , then, go in, enter only the main serial for OD in the OD box and it should work.
your object desktop serial should be used in the registrations only for object desktop - all the apps that come with object desktop are then automatically covered by that one registration
before you try to download and install the apps, you need to register object desktop first
if you did accidently install any trial versions, use impulse to uninstall them and the reboot
it should be:
download and install impulse - let it update
register your object desktop serial
then download/install the apps that come with ObjectDesktop
thanks , I am trying it now.....
It is still asking for a registration number everytime I download one of the programs in my desktop
I even uninstalled and reinstalled both programs
If you haven't done so already, please email support@stardock.com and start a trouble ticket. They will be able to assist you.
Couple things......
Object Dock & Object Desktop are 2 different things. Be sure you purchased Object Desktop.
Not all the desktop apps are covered in "Object Desktop" Different packaged versions have more or less programs........all include Windowblinds so start with that.
If you're using Vista you need to disable Windows Defender and Firewall as well as any 3rd party anti-virus while you install. Same with XP. I've found Windows Defender to be responsible for almost all of my borked installations.
phan4nd,
I've sent you an e-mail that should help. It would have helped if you had sent us an e-mail to get the ball rolling.
Disabling the firewall did it....everything installed and is working fine....thank you for your help
