Hello. I am General Cypher and I am a brand new member to the Metaverse and I am now open to being "persuaded" into joining someone's empire. I have several months of experience accumulated from playing TA on a "Tough" level of difficulty and I am ready to fight some real players. I hope that whatever empire persuades me to join will be respectful and friendly to me since I am just starting out. That does not mean that you have to be respectful or friendly to whatever empire's butt your whooping in the game. Just to me as I get started. Thank you and let the bribing begin.
~ Cypher ~
The above banner represents the empire I am currently a member of. I strongly encourage any and all visitors to this thread to please click the above banner. The banner will transport you to the ToE's main website, where wholesome and friendly chat about the game, or anything else in general, can take place. Thank you and Best Regards.
Surprised that I beat KP to it, but you should join Tyranny of Evil. We're a small empire of about 50 members that's currently in 2nd place to the Kziniti Empire which has about 450 members. What we lack in quantity we make up in quality. We also have our own website along with both public and private forums where we discuss any and all aspects of the game. Check us out at http://www.tyrannyofevil.com/.
But actually it's all in good fun and most MV players are friends with most other MV players regardless of which empire they join. Kziniti Empire is clearly an active empire and it's hard to fault someone for deciding to go that way.
There are a number of empires that are high up on the list but are pretty much defunct. The Diplomats (my original empire) has a bit of life left but most of the more active players have joined ToE. The High Command Hegemony, BC Space Orcas and The Overmind are all old and essentially defunct. Hueco Mundo is an empire created by a player that has since been banned for cheating so you should definitely avoid that one. The Gerontocracy and Gekodon Alliance are good solid folks. The Klingon Imperial Empire is a new one that I know nothing about and that rounds out the top 10 empires.
Hey Mumblefratz, thanks for the tips. Your empire looks very cool. I'm definitly considering you guys.
Even if you don't join stop by the website and check it out.

I will definitly stop by and check it out. Thanks.
I just took a quick look at the ToE website:
That is an AWESOME website ~ Very creative.
Nice job Mumblefratz.
Hello
I just started my own empire and I have nothing to offer but being new and starting at the bottom so why start at the top when it is already at the top, if join us you can be apart something that is on the way up from the bottom.
My Empire is Adepta Sororitas and its rank was 152 then 75 and now 55. We should be around rank 40 in few weeks.
The Orders Militant Of Adepta Sororitas
aka... Witch Hunters
aka... Sisters of Battle
The Oder Militant of Bloody Rose which was made in honor of Saint Mina.
We don't have a website yet but someday we will. I have ideals for my website but just I haven't put it all together.
So what do you think?
Mmm Hard to see it is Mmm
Like you Cypher I am also new. Puts us in the same boat really. I have to admit I reckon the Tyranny of evil deserves first place. 50 members are in heated competition with 400 and doing exceedingly well in comparison. That proves that the tyranny are both committed and determined. One day they actually may pass the kzinti with flying colours. If they get more committed members they may just be able to pull that off.
You know what i'm hinting, we could be those couple of member that make a difference. Once my game arrives I know who i'm going to join, hope you join too.
GmOOnii:
I'll definitely consider joining the Adepta Empire. Why do I have a feeling that someone in the Adepta knows how to play Warhammer 40K? Starting off fresh sounds pretty cool.
Talesine:
I understand what you're hinting at, and yes, theToE are pretty much at the top of my list of possible empires; I just don't want to rule anyone out yet.
Hey guys:
Two quick things:
1. Does anyone know how you get medals, because I have not played a single game on the Metaverse yet, but I somehow have the "Very Evil" medal already. I'm not too sure yet what alignment I'll choose.
2. Sorry everyone, but real life is getting in the way again, if you know what I mean. I'm very busy and probably won't be back on until 10:20 PM. Just leave your posts on this site and I'll reply when I get back. Sorry.
If you go to the Metaverse home page, http://metaverse.galciv2.com/ and then under Account select "Edit My Characters" it will show you your currently defined characters. It seems you have setup a character and you have space for two more characters.
To the right of each of your characters there are three buttons, "Edit Player" allows you to change the character name and logo, "Clear Scores" let's you essentially reset a character and underneath that is a blue button that can sometimes be hard to see labelled "Default". Given that you're seeing something under your posts that means you must have pressed the blue "Default" button next to your General Cypher character. In any case once you post games you'll start getting more medals.
The Default button allows you to select which characters medals are displayed with your posts. Once you hit this button you can change your default character to another character but you can't ever delete the fact that one character or anothers medals will be displayed with your posts. The thing is that even if you have no games at all you still get some "default" medals although I'm not sure why you're getting the alignment medal. Usually for a "blank" character you get the cakewalk medal along with and empire medal if the empire is in the top three.
Take a look at my profile for example, http://metaverse.galciv2.com/?g=sdnetaccount&acid=2547964. I've recently reset my long time character (Mumblefratz) and currently that character shows only the cakewalk medal and the ToE 2nd place empire medal. Once I post a game to that character I'll also get the former 1st place medal since that character had at one time been the top MV character.
In the meantime I simply set my "default" character to Toshiro Mifune where I have the only DL game to ever reach 1 million points. There are a number of DA games that have been over 1 million and there has also been a single TA game that achieved over 1 million as well, which happened to be posted by another ToE member (Magnumaniac), remember quality not quantity.
In any case the purpose of MV play is to have fun and scoring high in the MV is fun to some but not everyone has to see it the same way. The bottom line is that the ToE has some of the top players in the game that are willing and able to give you some great advice to help you achieve your goal whatever it is.
Welcome young warrior. The Kzinti are the dominant predators in this galaxy, and welcome any who wish to earn glory and honor through conquest! There are many prey species which try to stand against the Kzinti, but they will be devoured along with all the rest of our foes. We welcome everyone from the greenest recruit to the greatest warriors of this galaxy. If you have the heart of a Hero, then the Kzinti will welcome you!
Sentient species taste better...
Or eat you.
Depends on what time of day it is.
Hehe....well said.
I must be honest I have never played Warhammer 40k board game but I have Warhammer 40k Dawn of War Soulstorm pc game and with that I found infomation and history about my Empire , Logos and Banners. There is thread called Warhammer 40k I went to.
1) Medals, I thought where, when you played MV.
totally understandable. I myself have 2 empires in mind as well. 2 characters and I will be in both, though managing points will get annoying.
Well I hope you are good competition coz i'm gonna be checking on your scores from time to time.
You couls always join my empire, http://metaverse.galciv2.com/index.aspx?g=empire&id=3538, we need more members.
Hey Mumblefratz, thanks for the heads up about the medals.
Much appreciated.
KzintiPatriarch: Thanks for the offer. I'm not ruling you guys out yet, but I'm not sure that I would make too much of a difference in your empire, considering that you guys are dominating the MV and also have about 400 member, by the looks of things.
Still, like I said, I'm not ruling you guys out yet. You just never know...
Emperor_Seth: Appreciate the offer, I just don't know yet. I hope to know by the end of the week, if not sooner.

Unlike the sour Mumblefratz creature, the Kzinti do not scoff at the battles of even the most inexperienced warriors, or whether they rule 1 planet or thousands of light-years. Quality comes from the hearts of Heroes, and conquest builds upon conquest to forge a mighty realm that now spans half the galaxy. Either way you decide, to be prey or predator, the Kzinti respect those who fight with courage.
Good hunting...
I don't recall scoffing at anyone. Although I do recall giving pretty much everyone a plug.
If I were to scoff it would most likely be directed at weaklings who felt the only way they could participate is to jump on the bandwagon long after it's left the station. But then what would you expect from a bunch of former Orca's anyway?
There has been very little of the friendly empire taunting/rivalry as of late. It seems that you may be out of practice Mumble.
Yes, as Mumblefratz says even though empires are rivals, friendships cross the battle lines, and people often have characters in opposed empires. That's one of the great things about the community here.
Hey KP, I think I was wrong when I said that I would go unnoticed as a Kzinti, you guys actually find the time to welcome every single one of your 400+ members, and I respect that.
I do the same thing, anyways have fun.
