I expect the first version of this to be included with Beta 1 of Elemental (i.e. this isn't some "future" thing) which we expect will be out this Spring.
Ok, I was wondering if this mean the beta has been moved up. Originally it was slated for June 09, but that is in the summer and not the spring. I was thinking that they might have moved it up because of the large interest in the game, but his could just be wishful thinking on my part....GOD I hope it has been move up
Most of June is in spring. Spring ends around June 21st.
I'm pretty sure its because they want to test some even lower level features. i.e. something that needs to be working before the june beta. Don't get too excited, because it probebly means there will be less actual features of the 1stbeta (even though it will be earlier)
And he said "Beta 1" wich isn't "open beta" so he might talk about a pre open beta.
In terms of the beta, all users who pre-order have access to the beta program.
But we are looking to have a private Beta 0 or pre-beta or late alpha or something available before the beta program begins that will largely go to users with high karma / have GalCiv II / Sins / Demigod so that we can make sure the first beta works. There's a lot of new tech going into this that we will need some outside testing with.

Hi Frog I don't have any karma but i do own all those games except demigod and I beta tested them all... does that count? ... try to work for some more karma though...
I hope that karmatic selection examines what the karma was actually given for instead of numerical bounty. Thats not to say whoever has lots didn't earn it but there might be one or two of the bad karma farmers and lots of it is given for superficial reasons.
Well, I think the important part is having any karma at all. I seriously doubt the bar would be very high. Just proof that you are a community participant. You have plenty of time to make your karma.

(i) Can I be in BETA 0? Please??? I own all the games you mentioned.
(ii) It is hard for me to pre-order games many months in advance as I prefer to pay by Paypal where possible. Is there anything you can do?
