I seem to remember someone else mentioning this somewhere but I can not find it. I wanted to bring this up again. I for one love reading fantasy novels and love to create detailed AAR after my games (images, screen shots, artwork, etc.) Call me an uber geek but what can I say. After playing Dominions 3 for some time, I noticed many others who enjoyed creating short stories detailing their exploits. I am not so hopeful that any game could create an AAR automatically but it would be nice if Elemental could list major events so I do not have to keep such detailed notes while playing. I would love to be able to simply print or copy the major events log at the end of the game and then create my "work of art". Just a pipe dream perhaps but I will be bringing it up during the actual beta. Could anyone else use this?
Please please please....... have the log as a text file! That way it's all there in electronic format in a file easily accessible by any editor.
FYI: There is a thread started about it having an epic story generator here.
We might need an AAR sub-section way latter.
As there is no information about the epic story generator in Elemental.
That's one of the fun things to do with any variation of Civilization (did Civ1 have it? don't recall) - after you finish a game you play the cinematic that shows your cities as they're born, flourish, and die. It's to you see big sweeping color changes across the world map in a short time, especially when those wars took so long (relatively) to play through.
I forgot the Civ games showed this. This, too, would be a nice feature, in addition to the ability to review major events, timelines, etc. all in one convenient location.
+1 to this.
Feature request please?
I would enjoy having this aswell
Oh yes please. That blitz through history at the end of the Civ games was imho allways the best part of a long game.
