EDIT: My problem was resolved by uninstalling every Stardock application on my computer, disabling my anti virus software and downloading the link to Impulse that a member posted in this thread, and installing it. Keys should be registered automatically, and from "my desktop", start installing the individual programs you want!
Hello!
I run Windows Vista with service pack 1. (On a new machine, 4 gigs of ram, enough HD space...) I bought Object Desktop Ultimate today and opened Window Blinds. I downloaded a Vista Ready and Window Blinds 6 Ready skin but and extracted it and Window Blinds is giving me the message it installed, and it shows up when I open the program, but when I click on it, it reverts my look to Windows Classic!!!!....lol I don't need a program to get me that. It happens that way with other skins too. What is wrong, how can I fix this? I just spent so much on that program I'm a bit distressed now
Please help me!
open wb configuration, click the system info tab, click the copy text button
right click and paste it here
WindowBlinds is installed correctly on this PC WindowBlinds has not been activated correctly on this PC. Please activate it from SDC.(PnP-Monitor (Standard)) 1 is attached to NVIDIA GeForce 8400M GT Wblind.dll 2008/03/30 12:29:45Wbsrv.dll 2008/03/31 17:21:03Wbconfig.exe 2008/03/30 12:29:34Wbload.exe 2008/03/30 12:27:14Wbhelp.dll 2007/08/27 11:54:07Tray.dll 2007/09/12 17:58:21Wbload.dll 2007/11/04 18:50:28Screen.exe 2008/01/14 18:02:18
What is this SDC?? I bought it legally today and enter the key and it freezes so I force shut down and then somehow WindowBlinds opens anyway. I tried 3 times already and the same thing always happened. I tried to open from Impulse but it says it can't auto update and I have to do it from the web and gives me the link but when I click on the website link to download the update it tells me page not found. Oh man! there go my 60 bucks.
Those dates are incredibly old
SDC = StarDock Central - a method of registering/downloadin/installing/uninstalling/archiving etc - being phased out, in favor of Impulse
Impulse should be installed 1st
then you use Impulse to register your ObjectDesktop serial - that one registration covers all that comes with it - you don't register each on separately
Hi there (man this is so weird being in two threads at the same time ) Ok I'm on impulse. I was asking in the other thread where I can download object desktop ultimate? I found a place called my desktop on impulse... should I just download individually thru there?
Yes
click the blue orb upper left on impulse and enter the serial for objectdesktop 1st
We (the WC community) will do our best to get you up and running. You need not worry, your 60 bucks is not in jeopardy. It may be a good idea to also send an email to support@stardock.com and initiate a trouble ticket. As this is the weekend you may not hear back from a support tech until monday.
