Belle from "Beauty and the Beast"
A couple of Saturdays ago I went with Ryan on his route. We went to Utah.
We used to have egg throwing competions as a family on the 4th of July. Does that count?
Reading a good book.
Travel. Spend copious amounts of time on a beach. Volunteer and work with children in some capacity.
I always liked the Brady's house.
Don't have one. I was a Hanna Babera boy and my favourite was Quick Draw McGraw.
Probably to Canberra sometime late last year to see family.
I grew up with three brothers and a sister. Of course we had food fights.
Sitting in the sun with a good book and a nice cup of coffee; lying on a beach; a quiet night at home with my wife watching a good movie; playing my guitar; gardening.
I would sleep in, write, garden and do some travelling.
1. The Epp's house from "Numbers"...it is just a nice old house.
2. Tinkerbell. Because she's a little naughty and mischevious. And because a fairy's heart is "fierce and free".
3. Cripple Creek for an ice cream cone. Gambling? No thank you.
4. No, and not on the agenda in the near future, either.
5. Sewing or soaking in a tub.
6. Have a garden. Travel to England.
1. South Fork, from "Dallas"...swimming pool, stables full of horses, open country, and if you get broke, just go to the nearest well and get a pitcher of oil and take it to town and trade it for gold!
2. Mr Toad...because I LOVE his wild ride.
3. Cripple Creek, to eat ice cream with a couple of my favorite ladies.
4. Yeah, more than once.
5. I agree with Bou...but I laughed out loud when I read it, I haven't heard it referred to "boom boom" in a looooooong time.
6. It looks like I am gonna be taking MamaCharlie to England.

Even at 16, I can recall watching The Cosby Show thinking, I want to be a calm, cool, collected dad like Cliff Huxtable. I had a Cliff-Theo moment with my 13-year-old son recently. He had an inordinate number of gaffes within a 24-hour period. I didn’t want to ride his case, but my nonverbals were speaking. So, after we dropped his sister off at school, we were riding in silence as I was composing myself thinking of how I could validate him because I completely understood why he wasn’t thinking clearly. So, I broke the silence by giggling aloud. He said, “What’s so funny, dad?” I replied in jest, “How in the world did you forget…” With the tension now interrupted, he said, “I don’t know dad. I just…” Then, I extended my arm around his neck. As I pulled his head to my nose, I sniffed his hair. Shocked, he said, “WHAT are you doing, dad?” I replied, “I’m smelling your head for BUTT because that’s where your head has been!” We both laughed together…I think we’ll both remember our Huxtable moment.
Gus, the field goal kicking mule.
We traveled to Corpus Christi for a conference I was attending at the education service center. My wife, kids, and parents spent all day at the beach while I sat through 12 miserable hours having slide after slide after slide read to me as I sat and stared contemplating jumping out the second story window. (My colleagues took the plastic ware from lunch away from me for fear I might use it in ways other than its design. (If you’d have been there, you would have thought about using it too.))
As an innocent bystander ;o) I now know that mashed potatoes stick to the wall quite well.
2 Dos Equis + 1 Hot Tub = Relaxation
I would go into business for myself (without anyone [over me] telling me I can’t do so for some unknown reason other than fear or ignorance) traveling the state training teachers and administrators effective teaching strategies to reach today’s students (based on modern brain research) using methods that are outside-the-box but are both engaging and relevant. I would embark on a quest to put an end to the tired and untrue strategy of reading the chapter and answering the questions at the end once and for all. (Now, if my children come home with these assignments a few more times, I may be forced into early retirement to start this journey now!)
The Huxtable House would be my number one pick from the past. But from today's TV, Brother's & Sister's would be my pick!
The Beast from Beauty and the Beast
Gainesville Florida - where we got stranded!
