Yep! Ya gotta layer your elements to display multiple instances Dale. Take a shot, save it, set your new shot as your wall, then layer in the next element(s) and repeat until your design is complete.

I've used as many as seven layers on certain screenshots.

Also, use the Hide the Windows Taskbar feature with OD, it's cleaner than the standard windows auto hide. If you don't want to show your CursorFX in any of your layers hit ctrl-shift-c, that gives you the standard windows cursor which disappears when you use PRTSCR.

Once your design is a nice fat juicy theme, turn on your taskbar and cursor then shoot them as a final touch. Use the Windows key on your keyboard rather than clicking the start menu open.

Clean shot every time bro.

Right on Dale! The cool part about layering is, if you're not totally satisfied with the end results or certain placements, you can always revert back to one of your layers and try a different approach!

Layering is a bit time consuming, but is well worth all the troubles for the absolute precision you can achieve with this method.

Don't forget to use ctrl-shift-c for the standard cursor. This is how you can display let's say a flaired dock without a visible cursor. (Messiah1 taught me this trick)

Now you can show your start menu, right click, flaired docks, fly-outs and stacks in a single instance.

I wanted to add to this for all who's interested in the post, that what was said here aren't dirty tricks, cheating or deep dark secrets!

It's called a lot of things, layering, super-imposed, image stacking, but they're just tools of the craft which is a method used by tons of our top skinners in the business as the means of "precise presentation" in displaying the true nature of the product they've created.

Not to mention that it does get difficult when the puter starts slowing down if you open up everything you want to show in a shot all at once.

This happens no matter what you're running, case in point for me, as much as I love the Xion player Alexis, it takes up so much of my video region, I can't open my XP start menu when it's on my desk.

But mostly, if we choose to present a sceenshot in this community's gallery, then it's our responsibility as members to display the absolute very best in the quality that our skinners and artists represent.

I'm not a skinner, I'm just what I like to be called a shooter, it's all I have the talent for at this time. And I do my best to give my best.

I feel that I owe this community that much, that's given so much to me. I don't sit on half a toilet seat, so I don't do half assed work, no more than I associate with half assed people.

So if you choose to be a shooter, be the best damn shooter out there!
