Unable to create docks as limited user

The subject pretty much sums it up. I installed under my administrator account, set up docks and themes, saved them, and then switched to a non-administrator account. When objectdock loaded, I got an empty dock. I tried to load the saved theme, but it wouldn't load anything. I tried to manually duplicate the docks and themes tat I had set up under the admin account, but when I closed objectdock and relaunched it, I got the same empty dock. I can do a "Run As" administrator and objectdock will load the docks and themes I created under my admin account.

Any suggestions for running objectdock as a non-admin?

You should be able to create and save a dock while running as a limited user, as long as it's not a Systray dock - Systray docks won't load under limited, you'll just get the empty background.

Try just loading the default dock and just adding a shortcut, maybe changing the background, and saving it with some new theme name. The new theme name should appear in C:\Documents and Settings\[user]\MyDocuments\ObjectDock Library\Backed Up Themes\[ThemeName].ini You should then be able load it. Does that work?

Yes, the theme file gets saved to C:\Documents and Settings\[user]\MyDocuments\StarDock\ObjectDock Library\Backed Up Themes\[ThemeName].ini
No matter what I add to the theme, this is the the file content:

As administrator, I moved this file to my limited user's My Documents folder, but when I launch ObjectDock ad a limited user and select this them, I still just get an empty theme.

Email link is about 3/4's down the page under "Still need help". Start up a ticket with them and reference this thread so you don't have to repeat yourself.

Probably save yourself some turnaround time if you include, either in the mail or by replying to this thread:

WinXPHome or WinXPPro32bit or WinXPPro64bit or Vista(bit and version)
Whether you're using the free OD or the paid OD (OD Plus) and which version of whichever it is.
Verify that it did come from Stardock, not a 3rd party site.

If you put that here in the thread, it might give someone else a better idea of what might be going on.

Older versions of Object Dock wrote the created themes into the program directory under C:\Program Files\Stardock\ObjectDock\(Themes-I think). Of course a standard Limited User arrangement won't let you write to C:\Program Files\etc., so that would cause failure. But, if you're seeing the new theme name saved in your Ltd User's My Documents, doesn't seem like that would be the problem. I don't know what the heck would cause it to save the new theme but with no parameters.

The other generic response would be if you're using paid OD Plus now, did you have the free version installed before? If so, did you uninstall the free version before installing the paid version? If not, uninstall the OD Plus (and the OD free if it's still showing out there), and try re-installing the Plus.

You were absolutely correct. I previously had the free version of ObjectDock installed, and I neglected to uninstall it. I uninstalled ObjectDock Free and ObjectDock Plus, reinstalled ObjectDock Plus, and now everything work as it should Thank you very much for the solution.
