Setting up a game - Allow AI to use "extra CPU cycles"

Hi All !

Downloaded Twilight recently. and so far so good (the economy is killing me but will get it sorted out )

One thing I can't find when starting a new game, is the option to allow the AI to use "extra CPU cycles" during the game. [Not sure of the actual name of the setting....hope this makes it clear what I mean...]

Want to make my AI as tough and smart as possible ... any help/suggestions would be appreciated !

It's set per-AI by editing them on the opponent select screen. There's also a global override in the options to make all AIs use the maximum amount.

Duh. Thanks. I went two times through the option screens after starting my first game, and again two times specifically looking for the max CPU setting, and never found it.

While my personal daftness definitely plays a role in this, I'd nevertheless suggest to make full use of the empty space in the left column, so that there doesn't need to be a (rather easy to overlook) scroll bar on the right column. Or at least grant the scroll bar an actual *bar* to make it a bit more obvious, currently I just see two arrow buttons.

What resolution are you playing at? I don't have to scroll at all to see that option. I'm running 1280x960.

1024 x 768. I'd like to play on a larger resolution (my PC can go up to 1600 x 1200), but then the text becomes so small that it's impossible to read. I'm using 1024 x 768 on a 19'' monitor and still have to squint my eyes for texts like the building descriptions. I know that my eyesight is bad, but I can't even imagine how people manage to play on higher resolutions ...

The situation I described above is actually the *result* of having my eyes checked out regularly, and wearing glasses since 1976.

When I said "bad eyesight", I actually *did* really mean "bad eyesight".

The "Having-scarlet-pressure-marks-on-your-nose-because-your-glases-are-so-heavy" kind of eyesight, or the "We-can't-give-you-contacts-because-they'd-need-to-be-so-big-they-wouldn't-fit" type of eyesight.

For a while, I actually played GalCiv 1 with a mouse driver that allowed local zoom.

Anyway, that's wildly off-topic here, but believe me, there *are* people for whom the font size is a problem. But I realize that I'm a minority, so I take it with a laugh.

On bigger monitors the option fit in the screen better at that screen res, ... I too have bad eyes any thing up close and I can`t see i`m playing @ 1280 x 1024 on a 22" wide and understand where you are coming from!!if you can get a bigger monitor???.... but money is always a issue!!! i`m saving now for a ViewSonic
28" wide monitor helpfully i can get it before my eyes get so bad that doesn`t even help!!
Here lately after a few minutes of eyes strain I get such a bad headache that I stop playing !!!!!

I`ve gotten where L can`t even use a 19" monitor now
