As the title says.
I personally hope they will not reveal it as I think the mystery of it is much more interesting than actually knowing.
From what I’ve read so far they are planning for 3 playable factions and that gives me hope that they will not reveal the Vasari-hunters.
What do you think?
I wouldn't mind having them as a 4th, completely different to play faction.
I always assumed it was the Space Ponies driving the Vasari mad..
The more factions the merrier (makes the universe seem more alive)
If there's some purpose to a reveal that directly relates to gameplay (as the likely basis for a new playable faction, for a frequently cited example), then sure.
Otherwise, I don't much care one way or the other. I appreciate the lore bits and flavor text/unit responses/etc. insofar as they add some character to the factions that I'm playing (making the factions somewhat relatable via gameplay is something Sins did a lot better than Ashes in my view) but if there's not going to be a story-driven campaign - which I likely wouldn't touch anyway if I'm honest - then I don't really need that question answered just for its own sake.
Care Bears
Drop Bears...
Apparently, the minor factions are different species as well. I don't know the specifics, but I think they were in Trader space and just adapted to living with the humans.
Only if they make a 4th playable race.
I would prefer it not being a 4th race. If it's just another race, why did the Vasari empire fall to ruin and why did they have to run for over 10,000 years? It needs to be an actual threat in some way, or it would be disappointing
Honestly, I am curious. And I'd be fine if they were playable or not. Having a mysterious fleet show up from time to time with unknown capabilities could be interesting.
Absolutely not.
This is one mystery box that should not be opened. Whatever it is won't be as good as what is in your head.
I have a cousin, who's boyfriends sister heard from her uncle's roommate's mom that it's Pink Space Ponies that is chasing them.
Eh. Instead of having the entire species as a faction, just make it a fraction of their army, like a scouting party, being the faction. To give a glimpse of how powerful they might actually be.
I like mysteries...but I also like to eventually have the satisfaction of solving them. So I'm of two minds about it!
Same!
Could be interesting, to have clearly stated that whatever we encounter is really at its weakest. Still takes out the mystery
Halberd bearing space cows.
It's probably the angry Snathi squirrels from Gal Civ.
