I've been looking at ship designs, and there seems to be 6 modules that you can't mount on your ships in the ship designer, but they may be found on some of your default ship designs. I'm using the Terran Alliance names for the ship names:
-Militia Barracks: +50% hit point while in your territory (Defender)
-Antimatter Bomb: Damages fleets within explosion radius (Fortress)
-Repair Drone Bay: Unknown effect (Battle Hammer)
-Integrity Field: +20% fleet armor (Battleship)
-Missile Disrupter: +20% fleet point defense (Destroyer)
-Field Generator: +20% fleet shields (Cruiser)
I also want to point out that the Fortress has a design flaw. Because it requires an antimatter bomb, you can't build one until you research your way far down the missile weapon techs. Normally, for other ships, they show up once you have both the techs for the hull size and basic weapons for the weapon type they use.

I have updated my game to v1.02. I poked around in the ship designer, but I still can't see these ship modules.
Hey. v1.03 doesn't have these ship components in the ship designer.
Its v1.04 and we still don't have these ship components in the ship designer.
Are we supposed to get these parts? I can accept no as an answer, but I'd be disappointed.
Adding this to the newest sitrep. Will see if can get any updates.
I'll enable all these for ship design in the next update.

Lol, I actually didn't care that you removed mine in particular. But I don't want moderators removing content because it doesn't match any quality level or standard. If someone puts a bunch of time in making a ship, they should get to have it up. If they didn't put a description or if its just not very good the community won't use it and it will take care of itself.
We need moderators handling the more problematic issues of people stealing and reposting ships, making insulting or naughty content, etc. Outside of that, let people have fun with it (imo).

I'll have to play the game to test the design issue with the Fortress though. As I mentioned in my original post, a required ship part (antimatter bomb) requires late game missile tech to unlock.
After the last update had another look at parts that are missing/not working..ie..Registration reward parts that show in parts menu but can not be used ... Assault fighter parts this is a grouped item wings are out of proportion also the interceptor front parts out of proportion can this be looked at and maybe corrected. Also have not been able to upload designs has anyone else had this problem.......

Well, the huge hull missile ship still needs anti matter bomb, so you might not have access to that design if you research huge hulls. Either that part should be removed, or missile techs should unlock bombs a lot earlier. Like second generation weapons early (just after armed shuttle early). Though that might be an issue best saved for another thread.
Something thats been bugging me is that researching armed shuttle gives you free combat ships. Not just any ships, but ships with weapons that are different than the weapon type you just researched. Not only that, but the weapons they are equiped with are no where to be found in the weapons list. I believe the parts names are "lasers" and "cannon".
I've looked through the list of ship modules for more errors and for some reason a bunch of hit point augment modules are listed under shield strength. They are "Hull Support" and "Hull Reinforcement". Under hit point augment is "repair bay" and under shield strength "Foundry". Both of those should be listed under a new group called "Ship Repair Modules". Also under shield strength is a few fleet wide defense modules called "Divine Temple Module" and "Precursor Protection Field", and enemy defense negation module called "Zalon Defense System". Maybe they should be put under fleet support modules or something like that.
There is also an error with supply modules. I want them to mention how many manufacture points (or "supplied goods" as the colonies call them) are given to a colony when a ship with it arrives. Also note that there are 2 different types of supply modules, the one for the Mimot (prolific ability) and everyone else. I'd like to see both in the main menu ship designer (currently I only see the prolific one)
Starmac, can you use your parts which you made yourself? I tried to save a group a components as new part but i can not find the newly made part in my list on the left side.
(Ok i have found one of the test parts unter "Type" "Generic", but there is no symbol for it. It is just empty space. But i can not find the second part i have made.) Normally the all should be in the "Type Generic". tab.
Ok i have tested more. Now i had one successful designed part and one where only one part of all the parts was saved....wierd.
Hi Nav i have been working on some grouped parts and they have worked out ok i find it easier to look under style and there are some that are blanked out even after closing the game down and restarting weird or what.....i have lost parts my self but have found this to be an error by my self ie incorrect positioning of a part so as not to make a group can be frustrating 😤 working on some more designs also using grouped parts....
Yeah it seems you can not use the "symmetry" option in the UI when creating new parts. You have to design everything part by part. And in the end the problem is the said symmetry. I was fighting with my turret for a whole hour now and finally everything is working and i can find the turret in the design UI even with the picture.
Have never thought designing one sloped turret would be such a battle...

Yeah i had to scrap the complete turret. Redesigning it without toggeled symmetry parts. This is the raw template.

A quick recap of things need doing.
-Either remove antimatter bomb from the huge hull missile ship design, or make bombs available a lot earlier. I don't want to do a whole lot of research in order to build them. I'd prefer it if bombs were made a lot earlier (like armed shuttle early), but either option works for me.
-Unlock "lasers" and "cannon" ship parts. I think armed shuttle is a good time to get them since the tech also gives you free ships with those very parts.
-Make both types of supply ship modules available in the main menu ship designer. One type is for the Mimot while the other is for everyone else. I'd also like it if the modules also showed how many manufacture points are given to a planet when the ship arrives.
-There are some ship modules not put into their proper category. "Hull Support" and "Hull Reinforcement" should be put under "Hit Point Augment". "Repair Bay" and "Foundry" should be put under a new category "Ship Repair Modules". "Divine Temple Module", "Precursor Protection Field", and "Zalon Defense System" should be under fleet support modules.
