I found that cargo hulls were slower than even medium hulls. I found it productive to design transports as medium hulls since they had a higher base speed. Plus they had the room to install enough engines to keep up with my tiny hulls. It allows me to put my fast transports in any of my fleets without slowing the gang down. Normal transports don't have room for any engines, so they could slow down tiny fleets by 5 points.

I like these changes, will they be compatible with 1.0 saves?
In general crash fixes and UI changes will be, balance changes on the other hand will require starting a new game to experience them.
Enough beta testers have complained about Wack-a-mole on Discord that the reviewer probably found out about it there.

Are the updates in this game save compatible?
Sometimes you can play your saves after a patch, however the "fixes" from the patch seldom work in a save game.
If you wish to finish a save game:
My advice and this has worked for me is to start the game in offline, this way the game will not update.
You also should turn off auto updates which are found by clicking the circle in the upper right of the Epic library that has the first letter of your user name, you will need to scroll down.
You then can go back online to play You-Tube music as I do with out it updating.

hope to see 1.02 - game still have too many crashes. I'm crashing on a daily basis. Hard to repeat but seem to be on the computer's turn.
Since I haven’t seen it mentioned, here’s an easy fix for your list:
Manti Cluster – Traits listed as: Warriors, Paranoid
However, the Strengths and Weakness page upon entering the game notes that they should have the Unwavering trait. So the default Manti Cluster trait should be fixed.
Well that's rude, you went and partially fixed one of the cheezy things I liked exploiting.
Other than making me re-evaluate how I want to build a custom civ now, looks like nice changes and fixes.

One person's grossly OP exploit is another's favorite brand of cheese. I sympathize with you.
this is an old bug. when the player touches a leader, during the passing of the turn, sometimes he is floating around the map. The only way to fix it is to leave and come back.
normally when this problem occurs, it is invisible on the screen, disturbing the game, because the place is impossible to use

Excellent changes. I fired up a new game after adding all the new civs found in the Forge/Mods area! Thank you for adding the Snathi and some of the Star Control races! Need Jeff and his followers! Praise Jeff!
Where do you find the Forge/Mods area you mention?
