Starbase types and diplomatic capital are two mechanics I don't care for. To me they are unnecessary complications.
I tried creating my own version of the Thalan Contingency, trying to stay true to the concept of the Thalans in GC3. I selected the Xenophobic ability, but when I got into the game I noticed I wasn't receiving the bonus to research.
Here are some photos showing what I'm talking about:
As you can see from the second photo, the Xenophobic bonus is not showing up in the tooltip. Nor am I receiving the bonus.
Only feedback today - Wow, nice intro video - Great that you can replay your victories as well- Manti Cluster free defense part 2: so now I know my planets get defended by drones. Two problems remain: there is no information about the defending drones in the UI and citizens at Core Worlds are unhappy unless you send normal ships for defense. Maybe the AI does not know as well and sends ships into suicide missions- Please, either show always all planet improvements – i.e. without checking their conditions, or give us a button to disable the filter that makes them invisible. In late game I destroy improvements to see what I am able to build. If I do not destroy the correct tile maybe there is still a filter making something invisible
Totally agree with this. I have also destroyed an improvement to see the list. Now I find myself leaving one tile blank to I can new improvements as they become available. You shouldn't have to do that.
I did the same and created a customleader with the Xenophobic trait and it worked perfectly. You may want to go back and make sure oyu saved your custom civ after assigning the trait.

Yeah, this is a great point. Improvements shouldn't go away just because you don't have an empty tile. We will fix that.

You are right. Somehow the civ I created didn't get saved with the abilities I set for it.
But that just points to another problem: the game should tell me if my custom civ isn't "finished." Maybe for some reason someone will want to play without any abilities (although I don't see why anyone would), but I think there should at least be a message that pops up informing you that you've left something out. This would also avoid the issue a lot of people seem to be having of creating civs without any faction ships.
OK, I'm just going to come out and say it. Why is Stardock releasing a game where basically nothing works? This is madness. Just admit you were too hasty, delay the release, and leave it in Beta for as long as it takes to get things to some semblance of completion.
Bugs:- Critical bug: if you reinforce a fleet during a siege the siege will be aborted!- Penultipox should give 30 prestige (description) but prestige score shows 32. I checked it and I did not have 2 points in this category beforeFeedback:- Galactic Achvievement: NewEdenSeasonIcon.png. Grey background is distracting. It is the only G.A.-icon with a grey background. My first guess was that it was done by an AI

OMG just noticed I can repeat build modules now in starbases. MASSIVE PLUS. *activates "hugs every stardock dev immediately" trait*
Bugs:- Prestige points for improvements. So I guess you got three different people to work on description texts, tooltips and actual prestige points. I recommend you check those - A Dreadlord (G.C.) attacks a starbase (Manti Cluster). It destroys the two defending drones but does not continue to destroy the starbase. The fight is really short. The Dreadlord defeates the base in the next turn Feedback:- Galactic Challanges: shouldn't there be four categories? Now: Available, Locked, Completed. Suggestion: Active, Available, Locked, Completed- Divination M2, Revelation and Epiphany got the battle role support. This is bad. They have short range weapons and are no carriers. They should either get Capital or Escort- If you got two fleets on the same spot you are able to access „Manage fleet".
