This is really interesting documentary broken up into bite sized chunks.
It deals with the transition in games journalism that we saw starting around 2010 with the changes to the underlying business models of the media and in particular the games media.

So I watched the above video. Pretty interesting, and I wasn't familiar with any of the gamergate stuff (although I saw the term "gamergate" in the news). I mean, everything's all messed up, so why shouldn't the videogame industrial complex also be? Sometimes it pays to simply not be paying attention to stuff I suppose..
Ima go out on a limb here though and post a screenshot of this headline I saw today..
I really liked all the reaction vids in the documentary to the disappointing ending to Mass Effect (including plenty of women), with one succinctly saying: "If I were Zoigberg I'd say: 'your ending is bad, and you should feel bad!'" It really sounded to me like you'll also regret completing this space trilogy series as not-a-dude..
I'm in a situation where I can't spend the time to watch the video, so I'll respond only to @tid252's comment. I played ME 1, 2, and 3 as a female Shepard, under the principle that I'd rather see my female PC's ass as she's running around in 3rd person, and the conclusion to 3 was definitely a disappointment to me.
