Save: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1_9cJrNDfZy-JjyMSKODynZ5FhrSNufow/view?usp=sharingWhen loading a save file, the number of turns for the current research is not displayed correctly in the main screen nor in the Trade screen, instead "N/A" is displayed.
This is another old bug, which will probably never get fixed. You can go to the research screen and exit, and the bar will be updated.
Thanks for your tip, but it only works halfway, the number of turns to research my technologies is still not updated in the Trade screen. And even if the durations were then updated, the user is there to have fun playing the game, not to do a lot of manipulation to make the game work.Have you ever heard of the concept of "fighting the user interface", if I have to do a whole bunch of manipulation for it to work properly, I'm not fighting other factions, I'm fighting the user interface. [e digicons][/e] After all these years, the game still seems to be in beta state from the point of view of the realization.
And the problem only compounds if you find a few anomalies that reduce the tech cost by 15%.
This bug has been around forever and as noted by AdamMG, it will probably never be addressed.
This game is riddled with bugs that never get fixed. I am tired of pointing them all out. An exercise in futility.
I am looking forward to version 4.0 to see what has been fixed or once again ignored.
Yeah, I'm not holding my breath sadly. The 4.0 announcement post makes it sound like the structural update for easier modding is the main focus. Which is all well and good, but to me personally, bugs are always top priority. Fixing them should always come before everything else. But I'd bet money that no more than a handful, at most, of the flood of bugs being posted on this forum lately will be tackled, sigh. Props to the guy doing all that posting though! Much respect.
Thanks for your kind words LunarMongoose. [e digicons][/e] I still hope that one day I can really play a game of "Galactic Civilizations III" and not suffer bugs all the time.In any case, Stardock will not be able to say that it is not aware of the bugs. [e digicons][/e] The ball is in Stardock's court for them to achieve a great game, the best GalCiv game they have ever done, or to settle for an average game filled with bugs with a poor entertainment experience.
