Hello,
We have a hot patch for 3.5, largely focused on fixing problems in the new tech trees as well as restoring mod functionality. Read below for details.
Change Log
Did you start a new game?
Patch is live now. Enjoy.
Does that mean I have to disable the opt in update again?
I noticed too that my enemy is using my hypergates in my own territory! Tell me that's a bug.
I noticed yesterday that fast ships still skip explored spaces. At least the ones that are custom made with lost treasures. Hypergate drive, and slip stream drive.
Silicon needs the terriforming, and extreme world's... Back. The media assimilation is missing.
I noticed these aren't on your list of fixes.
It is no gate where you start from the gate and get to the gate.. you can enter the "high way" at any point and you can leave it at any point. so it would make sense you could use it, even when its not yours.
Would have prefered an instant gate travel like a wormhole.
Live and optin are the same right now. I would recommend switching to live though so that you're not caught off guard next time we update the optin.
Thank you for the info. Could the live update be applied to an existing game? (I was halfway through a game before the billionaire maker consulate/tourism bug came up)
I've tried the hotfix and have restarted/loaded the saved game and the error persists.
Thanks! Is it advisable to start a new game with this particular patch (from a game started from the previous version) or can we continue on with our current one?
Unfortunately, you need a new game to get the latest data and balance changes.
Thanks for the info!
Intuitive perk is still busted
I guess steam wasn't giving me the update? Neither when I was on beta nor when I reverted did I see this working, but I did a reinstall after removing local files. After that it seemed to work fine. *shrug*
Is there any possibility to force a saved game to use current data?
My colonies don't come full of people and factories when I colonize.
Oh wait, I guess that is not a bug. Just a wish. [e digicons][/e]
Silicon and Synthetic races need to go past Planetology in research. They currently don't.
@PreviousPoster ^^^ The issue you're talking about w Planetology etc has been reported in the support forum and Mormegil reported it as fixed.
Q: Any chance of a (small) bug fix build soon™?
Thanks. I didn't catch that earlier
Admiral, it has been fixed but not released. That’s why my post asked if a bug fix build would be possible. Since it is now Saturday I assume the answer is no =/
Patch downloads automatically, unless you changed your Steam settings, through Steam.
Agreed. The Civilization panel has room for a whole tab that could hold some global options for colonies and choice-techs, e.g. Precursor Mysteries. I often like to work several steps down a branch in one run and strongly favor miniaturization in the warfare tree. Being able to choose my own default for the choice-techs would save clicks and research points.
I use STEAM as my game portal. My game has not updated to 3.6 nor has it incorporated the new Retribution DLC. Ideas?
Unfortunately, no. The data is baked into the save. We do this to minimize headaches between updates.
