So we all think that Sins is an amazing game. We'd like Sins 2. Post here if you want it.
Thank you Frogboy for acknowledging our request.
An idea for you. If there is no human resources to make a bigger and better game, how about just take the game engine, and to the coding and such to make it 64 bit, make it completely open and customizable for modders (including those pesky hardcode limits), slap the original content in there, put the label on it and put it out there. Let the modders create content for it....and watch the money roll in. I'm sure you have heard this idea before....we have been saying it for years.
We just want.....something more than just DLC content clogging up an already restricted game. We just need 64 bit. You know the modders, myself included, would support you guys every step of the way.
DANMAN
I would love to have a 64-bit Sins of a Solar Empire 2.
Do as you guys think fit as i can only hope for better, different variation of gameplay in the next SINS game..
As for ideas relating to faction, units and e.t.c, some of it are better made non-playable to player or make it a minimod that only allowed limited numbers of playable faction...
There's some of us who like to play all kinds of factions but also a few prefer playing only certain faction..
For me, I hope that in the upcoming SINS 2, even in skirmish game, there's some side mission which gives rewards or access to certain research tech, some of it are required capturing some enemy's tech lab to unlock certain research and also few of it requires artifact founded and kept safe from interference from enemy attacks to gain special research..
IN OTHER WORDS, i hope SINS 2 allows something like that in the future gameplay even though there's limits to be uphold but of course prefer it becomes much much better than Sins of Solar Empire Rebellion and related game mod like E4X, Crazy Mod, Distant Stars, Maelstrom and Interregnum in the SINS 2 through some way..
One of the main things I'd want in a Sins 2, is actual turrets and more use of 3d space.
I am glad that they've acknowledged our want for Sins 2. With today's technology, the scale that could be produced would be amazing! If a lack of manpower is an issue for a completely new game, would it be possible to release an upgraded engine? Like Ashes has, import (with new models/graphics) the old Sins game into it and release it. I would buy it in a heartbeat just to see what the modders could do with such an engine. Graphics upgraded, scale of the maps larger, oh man..Of course - if you are going to go through all of that coding work you might as well make the game. Coding, debugging and the like I'm sure is some of the most intense aspects of game development.
yes-i'd love to see sins of the solar empire 2 but with a true story driven campaign in which pieces of tech fallen off enemy ships can be taken back and researched to get new tech previously never thought of-taking tech from battlefield back to research labs could also be used for ashes of singularity-so you have a hybrid tech machine
Thanks for the response Frogboy. Let us community folks know if you need help.
We could do a grassroots kind of "support your favorite video game developer" rallying cry that could shake up the perceptions of what a video game company is. That to me that is what Stardock is as a company. When you caught everyone's attention with the "Gamer's Bill of Rights" your brand was made, and we haven't seen much along those lines recently. All the community needs is organization (provided by you) and a way to safely interact (a set of established guidelines) with you so your legal needs won't be tread upon. Remember, once you released the game, it really has become our game, since we all play it. The law says one thing, but we all play it, when we stop playing the game is dead. Either you can work with us and acknowledge this fact, or our attention is going to go elsewhere.
We right now are telling you that our attention WANTS to be in your direction. That is a great position to be in, but it's not going to continue forever. Now if you can get on Chris Robert's ass and get him to release Star Citizen faster so that all space genre games can breathe a sigh of relief and actually develop their game in peace that would be nice. I know all of you CEO's must enjoy hanging out right? Do it.
Love, hope and waiting for a new part of the game!
For me this is the best strategy of all is that I played. And I played in a lot of different strategies.
Anything similar simply is not present! This is the best strategy and it requires continuing!
well i definitely want a sequel to sins of a solar empire-using the nitrous engine by oxide games -ggod luck!!
I hope in the upcoming Sins 2, they add campaign for each sub-faction that leads to their end of the story for vanilla game and story-related faction mod like Interregnum for example could make a different ending for Star Wars version of Sins which not related to in-canon original Star Wars Story, more like an alter version of ending on 1 part instead..
If possible, main objective version will give main cutscene on related mission and optional objective reveals an unseen part of the main cutscene; like extended version or/and upcoming part on every mission..
Also, each sub-faction have at least 2 titan (1 main and 1 experimental) and 1 to 3 dreadnought version (like small Titan or Super Star Destroyer Bellator aka Star Dreadnought warship from Interregnum for example) although most of it requires certain condition needed to fulfill on optional objective for campaign and skirmishes (on skirmishes, it requires capturing/infiltrating enemy's related lab or factory or foundry or even special structure only owned by related faction..
On experimental weaponry whether captured or shared, only experimental warship on whether capital ship or dreadnought version can use most of it but only main titan on each sub-faction could wield 1 or 2 experimental weaponry as an additional firepower..
ALL OF THIS IS JUST AN IDEA.. I HAVE SOME MORE BUT THIS WILL DO... I BET SOME OF YOU HAVE BETTER IDEA WHICH COULD NOT BURDEN THE EXISTING TEAM SIZE TO CERTAIN LIMIT WITHOUT CHANGING THEIR SHARED CULTURE WHICH COULD CAUSE UNNECESSARY TROUBLE LATER
IN OTHER WORDS, MOST OF THESE IDEAS COULD BE ADDED AS MINIMOD OR SOMETHING SIMILAR AS LONG AS IT'S PLAYABLE AND INTERESTING..
Hello fellow friends,
It cause to my attention that a Sins of a Solar Empire 2 petition has come into play. Hehehe! It is in development. My expectations are high. See with the success of Sins of a Solar Empire 1, we all know that Sins of a Solar Empire 2 has been in constant development. All of these "games," being released by Stardock are just test cases for the true game. Ashes of the Singularity - Combat EngineOffWorld Trading Company - TradeSodA - MultiplayerGal Civ 3 - Grand StrategyIt is has all come down to Since of a Solar Empire 2
Sins of a Solar Empire 2 Single PlayerA game which will be the ultimate simulation where you will be able to zoom down on a captain of one of your capital ships and have dialog options mass effect style. Yes folks, that's right we have Role Playing Power. An interwoven plot all between all the races, Vasari, TEC and Advent, all happening concurrently, fully voice acted. You gain insight into these portraits you saw from Sins of a Solar Empire 1. At any point in time you can zoom out and continue your grand campaign from a macro level, focusing on the political leaders. Here's where it get's better.
Sins of a Solar Empire 2 Multi PlayerA full mmo no mans sky style, with undiscovered planets to explore with your ship. You start as one guy but can gain an army through leveling up your main rank from Luetenent, Captain, Col, in an almost roleplaying style system. Unlock different techs through the tech tree and compete against 1000s of people at the same time in a massive shared Galaxy experience like No Mans Sky meets Eve Online. But there are three distinct factions. You have the real leaders of this opening. Different areas will have different benefits and you face against random events happening all the time. And it is all happening live. No rest, no relaxation. Pirate implementation could be a mercenary system where you can hire yourself out by any faction.
Of course the game remains to be mod friendly and servers are hostable by community, and has future support for AI implementation on the if you ever wanted to hose your own server, with guaranteed support for the next 10 years as it is 64-bit and scale to generate a random universe the size of 16 Exabytes)
There's my pitch!
That sound good to me but i hope upcoming SINS 2 doesn't become only playable online RTS game.. I'll figure it out sooner or later but basically at least there's also skirmishes gameplay like Sins of Solar Empire Rebellion.. Because if it becomes the game which can only be played online, that would be seriously sucks to me as i have limited time and access to internet due to my busy workdays ahead..
Been So patiently waiting, please use that amazing new engine that runs Ashes
Yes please. I've been ready for Sins 2 for years.
I just hope the manual has as much flavor text and lore as the current one.
Is this post dead or do you guys still want Sins 2?
SINS 2 need ever
Of course i want SINS 2.. But i can't say anything w/out even playing it's demo or trial first.. Even better, at least some skirmishes gameplay first would give me some good though of what comes next
Sins is still one of my favourite games, and still gets played regularly even though I now have more modern titles that are "flashier".
Why? Are you going to annouce it at E3?
My want for Sins 2 is an absolute. I know a TON of people who love the game and still play it regularly. I still play it, been trying out different mods lately too. I think what everybody really wants is just an upgraded version of Sins 1 lol. We have these maps with 100+ planets in different solar systems, but I never play them and nobody plays those. The end game, or even mid-game, lag is way too intense. If we could get a 64bit, multi-core scaling engine and maybe with a new Graphic system..I would be all over it and that is really what people are looking for. I really think now is the time to go for it honestly. Sins 1 is one of the best RTS games ever and if a 2nd one was made, even just updated/new engine, it would sell incredibly.
Sins is timeless, but a Sins 2 would be timeless and ageless
Definitely want it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Me. Want. To. Sin. More! Well I also want to play Sins of a Solar Empire 2. Until then i'll just keep sinning.
Yes Please.
