A special thanks to Frogboy, so with that being said I want to take the time to thank Frogboy, the Galactic Civilizations III team, and all other employee at Stardock for their hard work. Yes, there is some things that could be improved with this game as well as others, however, I believe all in all they do good work and poor their heart and soul into this game and Frogboy in specific puts a lot of care and time into many of Stardock's games.
With much of the bad, or negative posts, sometimes the good or great positive posts are forgotten or overlooked. Please take the time to write thanks and positive points in this post.
On a side note, I hope Frogboy, and Stardock never takes any negative point as strictly a bash, as most of the time I try to make it constructive by stating positives or possible solutions to any complaint I have.
Again Thanks for all the hard work This is Extremely Awesome and I don't know any company that does it better Please don't check out of the forums as we need you
I'm all in for a positive attitude here. Looking forward to see this a place of constructive criticism and dialogue!
RavenX, great point. GalCiv2 is my personal favorite 4X of all time...even above MOO2. When you suggest we make requests, do you suggest we do so in normal threads, or is it better to start a new one? is there an ongoing thread to make requests and suggestions? I believe GalCiv3 will eventually surpass GalCiv2. The genius inherent in the whole thing is that the devs did not try to re-invent the game/wheel, (ie.MOO3.) Instead, thankfully, they have created a fresh game BASED on the one we already loved.
Well said! I have to agree. Love Fest Dog Pile!
I'm Sorry but,,, YOUR GAME SUCKS!!!,,,,, me in.
Keep up the good work and a big thanks for a big game in many big ways, not to mention all the feedback. Yes it is like so gigantically, titanicly and enormously big that I can hardly comprehend the bigness that this platform will only get bigger and deeper like it's predecessor did in a huge way like this run on sentence,,,,,,,,,,
Cheers
Good post Seilore and Thanks Stardock for makeing a really good game.
Thanks guys, that's really kind of you to say.
Cheers,
-brad
Must take exception, as Mr. Darcy did in "Pride and Prejudice" when Elizabeth's uncle Gardiner told him, "You are very kind, sir" when Darcy offered him his trout stream to fish in.
Darcy replied, "It is not kindness...it is a pleasure."
+1
Hats off to Paul, Brad and everyone at Stardock for making phenomenal games and then making phenomenal games better.
It's not kind. It's accurate. When directed at some people, praise isn't flattery; it's truth.
As a former developer, I want to send Frogboy and all of the staff who work on this project get a big Thumbs up and smile for the hard work, Excellent job with a bright future ahead. Nay sayers come and good, but a kick arse game will kick arse for long afterwards.
Stardock is just about the only software company I have complete faith in when it comes to doing right by their customers. Not to mention producing two of my favourite games ever GalCiv2 and GalCiv3.
Long may Stardock prosper.
Next thing you'll all be dancing on a float as it glids along the canals in Amsterdam wearing sailers outfits....
But yeah, ok, I'll join you and dust off the denim hotpants. Just for the Frogster.
Yeah, loving the game despite concerns on certain balance issues, and I've every faith you're working to complete them. I hope certain posters can learn to tell this difference between pointing out an issue with suggestions for solving it, and posting 'you're a complete tit for failing to anticipate this and you deserve to burn in hell for taking my money'. I have to say, while there's some stuff that worries me I don't entirely understand some of the points that the hate posts are based on - "the UI requires too much mouse movement" is one of the more bizarre ones imo...
Thanks for the info Raven. I hope the "Doctor stuff" isn't anything serious. I've never been a fan of real time games. Lol, Age Of Empires was a challenge for me.
