Been playing 2 months now and I recommend it for anyone that wants a real space sim. Be warned; this is an unforgiving game in terms of learning curve, but is is rich in immersive elements and a very supportive community/fan base.

Had it since early beta and don't like it. It's boring, and extremely clunky. Every action is laborious, and don't get me started on interdiction, what a load of old cobblers that is.
Looks nice though.
Had my eye on this for a while but I don't care much for that "Interstellar" ship design. In the video above as far as the fighters go I like the one's they're fighting against better than the one's they're flying. Can you get a ship that doesn't look like that?
keep in mind that as a Space sim, Elite: Dangerous focuses on the sandbox aspect of player interaction.
