I can hardly wait.
It's two mostly separate teams, just a few shared folks- think it might even be just Derek and Brad (though those are two very important folks)
At this point, I'm looking forward to the next game, and wondering what stuff from hat will be backported into either LH, or a future sandbox Elemental title (though I don't think we'd see that until 2018)
I want this patch soon though, as I want to get the bad taste of AOW3 outta my mouth. That game was so disappointing given my expectations.
Please. Just an ETA so we can stop checking here a couple times a day. (Or dozens for us loons)
They have already said it would be late April, but they did not mention the year.
Brad actually said "in the next week or two" on his Twitter last week, so it seems strange to not hear ANYTHING.
PS: Sorry about calling you a troll, Tattyhat. I love you.
Does this mean we are going steady Wolfie? [e digicons]:inlove:[/e]
Yes, Tatty lol
Anyway, I'm done coming here for the hopeful update. I realize that GalCiv 3 is a focus at Stardock right now, but not getting any information on 1.6 is just getting frustrating.
LH is a good product that is a few patches and some DLC away from being great. It would be a shame to never see it reach that potential.
I was very close to buying into the Gal Civ alpha, but then I thought about my experience's so far with the FE and LH beta's, so I put it on hold for the time being.
Anyways, I'm not all that bothered anymore, I have gotten myself addicted to the Warlock series. They are surprisingly much better than I had imagined.
pretty sure LH will get 1.6.
I do worry about LH getting support after the new game comes out, because of LE not getting its last patch.
I get the same feeling. WOM-never finished, FE-stalled at 95%. Will LH go the same way? Stalled at 95% completion, frozen in time like a giant popsicle until the end of days.
Gal Civ III, at 95%, boom! The announcement that the LH2 Alpha is up for early access.
To be fair, no game is ever 100% finished.
Brad didn't think GC2 was 100% finished, as he was going to work on another patch, but the engine was so old that the tools to work on it didn't work with Windows 7.
The FE thing doesn't really bother me since I got LH, and LH > FE by a good bit, but those who stopped with FE should get the patch they were told was coming. It's a bit of a bad look to me. (that said, the selfish side of me doesn't want assets taken from other games to work on FE, which is obsolete)
From my perspective as someone who played FE extensively and saw this game develop during its beta, it sure seems 100% done to me, even if there are bugs (all games have bugs), and further updates this far after release feel like 100%+.
You could say that's the problem lies. FE is finished, 100%, but with the page showing an unreleased patch it sort of conveys the wrong message.
Sins of a Solar Empire Rebellion has been out a while and there have still been fixes and DLCs combined. If you serve the interests of your loyal customers and NOT a CEO with an inflated ego and compensation package, you prosper. Nuff said.
what the?
Yeah, not really sure of the point being made. Either anc40 is saying Brad has an inflated ego and compensation, or that Stardock is good in that he doesn't have that, and implying other game companies have that issue. Completely 50/50 on which he is implying.
Give us something Stardock. I have this shitty feeling that this is going the way of FE 1.4...
SD can't do that....else steam has to give us access to LH 1.4. I find LH 1.5 to be unplayable with the beastmaster bug and the building rotation bug.

Ditto.
What is wrong with this quote thingy? Everytime I use it, it comes up like this.
We'll get an update. LH is still a cash cow for SD, and there's plenty of milk left.
We may have to wait a while, as GC3 has greater upward potential at this point.
The update is currently being worked on. There's a whole process of development, QA, etc. that something like that has to go through, so sometimes things take longer than expected, or something arises that causes a delay.
It's not necessary that you respond, but it's appreciated.
Thanks.
Hm. I love you guys. I really do. It's just that 1.5 was a bit of a setback in some ways and I'd really like the fixes that 1.6 brings.
So getting Derek on here to give us an ETA would be appreciated. It's been a while...
The peasants are revolting, there's going to be a lynching; partner.
Isn't that two genres/historical periods mixed, middle ages and western?
