Later in each game im usually a little tired of micromanaging and just move around my stack of doom and forget the rest.
In turn, I hit the turn button repeatedly in under 20 seconds after I glance around and move my doom.
The question is: If I give the AI more time to think about its next move will I get a better AI?
Thats been eating at me for awhile.
Thanks
Nope. The ai does zero 'thinking' during your turn.
Sure? I thought they said somewhere that they now used one CPU core just for AI calculations, and that is done separately from your own stuff.
AI does most of its thinking during your turn.
Interesting. I tend to take pretty long turns and often leave LH on in the background. Even for hours sometimes...
And thus Skynet was formed...
It's not chess I doubt leaving it on for hours will make the AI smarter.
Yet the mystery remains...
How long does it take for 7 AI and a hundred monsters to make rational decisions between turns? Its really just curiosity eating at me.
i do the same thing ill get up mid my turn leaving the game running for hours while i run errands and come back to it. even late game i like to move alot of my units around and have control over the entire game. i used to put units on auto explore but i lost alot of armies that way. they like to wonder into epic packs sometimes. that is interesting tho. because when i end my turn thiers is almost instant.
Agreed, Chess is much simpler in AI terms:)
It's still a burning question.
I know its a complicated answer but.... please!
