found this out yesterday, looks interesting...
If Supreme Commander didnt have Experimentals , I say it would of been a great Total Annihilation 2. So to speak.
I really hope they keep it simple much like TA was.
My experience and these data tells me that Planetary Anihilation has a pretty good chance of reaching $2 Million. So not only Metal and Lava Planets (it's almost there) and Galactic Wars will be reached, but also stretch goal 5 (currently unknown).
and the lava/metal is now happening as it has passed 1.5M.
harpo
Well I just pledged my $40 to this, might up it a little bit, we'll see.
C'mon $1.8 million!!!
I want that Galactic Warfare!!!
They need to tell us their final secret.
Wohooo lava/metal planets!
I look forwards to massive CORE Prime-styled battles over those Metal worlds.
I gave in and added myself to the list of backers. I am now a victim of planetary annihilation.
Welcome!
They did it!
They did it, Galactic War is coming.....
Yeeeeeeeah!
yes we now have galac-ticks warts, but will we get the moosics or moovies?
with only one and a half days to go, i think not, but might be wrong.
The stretch goals currently do not show any money contributed via pay-pal. I believe we will get moosics! I don't really care about a 'documentary' though.
I'd love it if PA had a full orchestra do the music like in TA and SupCom. The soundtracks to those two games are a great part of the experience, or at least TA would be if the game bothered to play the music. I'd totally squee like a fangirl if they got Jeremy Soule to do full orchestral music for PA.
Am I the only one that is still skeptical? I will still be waiting for release on this one. I hope it turns out well though!
I played a lot of Supreme Commander I and II. I liked both those games because they moved away from the click and micro fest of basically all other RTS games. I prefer my RTSs to actually be about strategy. That said both 1 and 2 had a lot of persistant balance problems that prevented the games from being too strategic, like the balance of basic extracters versus upgraded ones and converters. Plus arty dodging really annoyed me. Hopefully this game features better core balance.
A fair share of the community didn't like SC2 but I thought the upgradeable factories and mini experimentals were awesome and added a lot of depth.
No. I too am skeptical. But if it works out the payoff is big enough IMO that I supported it anyway.
and I also dropped a bundle on it
They just hit 2 million....Here comes the Orchestra!!!!!!!

saw that , but will they get the extra for the Mooovies?
only the cow knows,
and will we get the game we are being asked to put down money LONG before the development starts?
only the cow knows
I just visited the PA page on Kickstarter and they've got over $2.1 million with 3 hours to go. At this point are there any stretch goals they could add?
And an update: they've finished with $2,228,344 as their Kickstarter result.
^ this doesn't count the pay-pal donations yet ... right?
They hit 2.3m in that ballpark from what I remember with paypal.
