I am not a modder in anyway shape or form but I have noticed that Rebellion would be a perfect game for a new BSG mod especially since the vasari loyalists are a nomadic fleet now hint* hint* the nomadic fleet would give this a real fun andenjoyable way to play running from the cylons with only a handful of ships so if anyone needs an idea here you go!

Because it was the fastest and easiest way, why waste your own resources on long war, if you can destroy every thing in one attack.
